If a game does not have ANY workaround, legit or not, to bypassing a stage boss/enemy then I don't think that ruins the run. The game *forces* you to use the cannon, and because there's literally no workaround, I can't in good conscience say that's a failed run.

Well there's usually two types of runs like these. Those where you're asking 'Is it physically possible?' and those where you're asking 'Can I do it with my own abilities?'. Was it possible? No. But could he do it in regards to his own skill? Ye.

@@pokekylepark Well in this instance, HL:A physically prevents the bow from damaging the strider, forcing the player to use the cannon designed to deal damage to the "stage boss". If the bow could deal damage, even a little, then it would have been a failed run. Which is why in this instance, I don't think it counts.

Yeah, a failed run should only be when the game technically allows you to operate within the rules of the challenge, but that doing so is simply impossible.

Fun fact you actually *have* to reload the shotgun to proc the zombies spawning at around 6 minutes. Otherwise you'll just stand there forever, hearing them bang on the wall.

You can skip killing the Stryder by simply using that phasing glitch to go on the other side of the crater and touch the homing beam thing. It'll just transition you to the next area.

From my experience of brating a challenge like use only a specific weapon such as re8 only knife. I think its fair to say scripted events dont count even games that has official challenge speficically say scripted event dont count bcs i think its safe to say you beat with only bow.

Even if it was a failure i still think it was an success either way, due to him using the combine bow for most of the playthrough. For some scripted events there's literally no way to complete by just using a bow, but due to using the bow though out the whole game i think the challenge is completed successful.

The cannon strider part is fine technically the cannon is a static defence even if it is on a ship because that ship is destroyed so it is a static defence
