You made a mistake of using the sorcerer mage to reduce enemy physical armor. The mage will just pierce through the physical armor. The reduction armor only help if there's archer around so you should use the arcane wizard for high physical armor and sorcerer for high magic resistance

damage over time and type of the attack (they priorities enemies without debuff which gives some crowd control) gives good opportunites tho

For once, a challenge video that isnt stretched to 40 minutes and has an actual voice instead of massive clumps of text on screen that never match your reading speed. Here is a better strategy for lvl 5, you can put Gerald to the furthest of the right side road with reinforcements, so he and the reinforcements can block spider matriarchs before they got to lay eggs. These spiders only has 300 hp, Gerald and reinforcements can block 90% of them easily.

I tried a no build challenge were I'm only allowed to use spells and the hero (map builds, like the elves are ok to use, no 4 main buildings), and I wanted to see if I could beat the first 12 campain missions, I'm curently stuck at the 11th. I think the 11th is maybe still possible but the last one with veznan is probably impossible. If you have a lot of time at your disposal I would really like to see you perform this challenge :)

@ZivkoPerisic776 I really like Ingvar, but stronger than Gerald? No way. And Malik isn’t even close. Elora and Ignus are definitely stronger though. The thing with Gerald is that he can 1v1 stuff like Son of Sarelgaz, Forest Troll, Tainted Treant, and Legion, but only at higher levels, and he struggles to deal with enemies that have weak attacks

I don't really get why you seem to go out of your way to use sorcerers against high physical armor enemies. Reducing their physical armor is only useful if you have sources of physical damage which you hardly do at all. In fact the 40 damage they deal over time is true damage which actually makes them better against enemies with magic armor than the arcane. You did not utilize this in many situations where it would have been useful, like the level with the magma elementals so you just kinda have it backwards with their use cases. You also didn't use the elemental which could have been a decent source of area physical damage, and I think going for the reinforcements ranged upgrade would have been more helpful than finishing the mage tree. Both give you what you don't already have: physical damage and stalling power. Even if your tactics got you through the challenge just fine, I hope this will help you improve them.

@@Dinoverse_ It's cool, don't put yourself down like that. Kingdom Rush 1 is the cheapest in my country currency, so I don't know if it's different at other countries. That said, I think I would recommend Origins as first paid game instead since the heroes have fun abilities that can be controlled.

You should have used Sorcerer's for High Magic resistance enemies instead of Arcanes. Golem does Physical, and the Poison effect is True damage. Both get past magic Res. Also, You were using Sorcerer's to "Weaken armour" in the last level. But armour isnt Magic resistance.

My girlfriend has beaten the game on veteran several times using either archers only or wizards only. She actually refuses to use any other building, insisting wizards only is the best in the game and she only did archers only because she was bored.

I wouldn't consider the KR1 'premium' heroes to be OP, they're pretty balanced compared to ten shi and gerald lightseeker, and besides, they're part of the full steam edition of the game so I wouldn't call them p2w for any of the other games either.
