I think the reason you feel more invested in the characters is the game actually forces you to be involved in the stories of them individually if you do any of the side content from the notebook. Some more than others, but it’s still there.

Damn I read the title, but then saw the Windwaker menu and got hella excited.

Collectors edition fucks. The windwaker demo on it was only 20 minutes long. And similar to the OoT demo on Melee's disc it had saves at various points of the early game and was mostly just promotion material

1:06:33 actually, i've found that if you go through to the Observatory and return, the Bomber leader will say he's impressed that you broke his code, and give you the notebook! so you don't need to chase them down again! it's also possible to do the "deku scrub obstacle course" during the "deku loop" phase of the game!

oh, one more thing, you CAN get a bomb bag without rescuing the old lady, you just can't get the bomb bag UPGRADE.

Not relevant to the run, but a little relevant to the runs theme The bird that steals your sword actually CAN'T take your sword until you get the bow I guess they just didnt want you to be without an available damage source on normal link
