Can You Beat Mass Effect at Level 1?

Hey, thanks for checking out the video! I'm currently working on redo-ing this video and compacting it with Mass Effect 2 and Mass Effect 3 for one mega mass effect at level 1 video, (as the music in the video gets very loud at parts). When that does go up, this video will get privated, but Im still proud of the accomplishment regardless. What's more is I'm restarting the whole challenge as I want to upload the VODs and highlights of those VODs on a second channel for those who want to verify/watch those runs in their entirety. My goal is to roll this out before October so that means a lot streams, script writing, and editing. Thanks for reading, hope you enjoyed the video!

@@general_malarky the run for ME2 and ME3 are finished, the only problem is that my PC is broken right now and can't afford the replacement part so editing the mega video/making individual videos for each game is on Hiatus. Will be uploading some stuff as it enters into the new year since I can record and edit on my PS4 even if it's not ideal, but no idea when I'll find the time to do anymore Mass effect content for the next little bit

So, the music volume increases as Shepard levels up, but the voice volume stays at level 1. ;) Great video! I had wondered where the tough spots might be at level 1.

Great idea for a video loved it but as others said, the music was too loud and I felt like there needed to be more music tracks rather than the same one repeating considering this is a 20 minute video Also there are some long pauses in this video too, some stretch out over 20 seconds with no game audio to back it up But still a great video, better than anything I could make

I always thought the Mass Effect series could have some good challenge runs. Kind of disappointed by how little people seem to do so. I really wish we could've had a fun revamp to the Legendary edition. I think it would've been really fun if there was a menu with lots of challenges to do. Like "Beat the game starting pistol only" "Have as many companions die throughout the series" and more tough " Only use throw on insane" Like imagine there being an achievement " Beat all challenges" and there are a good 50 or so for each campaign. Sure it'd be tough. But as someone who has done countless playthroughs of the series, I would love it. Give me a purpose to do other then play it for the millionth time.

Initially I planned to but then my original run's files got corrupted for both Mass effect 2 and Mass effect 3 so I just scrapped the idea all together. Then a few months ago I decided to redo the entire run and I'm currently working on redoing this video (more tracks, better audio balancing, things like that) , then I'll be making the Mass effect 2 video, Mass effect 3 video probably a few weeks later and then I'm gonna fuse all 3 games into one big supercut video in case people would rather watch it in that format. Lotta work and no clue when they'll be dropping, but hopefully sooner than later, and then the next few things will be Mass effect Andromeda at level 1, Mass effect speed runs explained/maybe a world record progression for each game, and then probably do some other games or figure out a cool challenge idea for the dragon age series

I feel like I should ask what difficulty you were using as I can see this challenge working on standard or casual. I recently completed ME1 on insanity, and I was unable to use lift on the Geth Primes, regardless of how many times I tried. And my lift was pretty high level.

Started off on Insanity for the early game, Hardcore for Feros (the ending vs the Thorian clone asari) and Noveria, Veteran for Virmire and I believe Feros but might've made it normal by then, and I know for the end of the game it was set to Normal. Initially I was going to do all of the game on Insanity but very quickly standard encounters started taking 10+ tries without any progress being made. Eventually I redid this run this past summer and streamed it here on KZbin for the whole Trilogy, I did all of ME 1 on casual as I wanted to finish it quickly, but ME2 and ME3 I did on Insanity both

I tried this without leveling up anything just what you start with is all you get. You can't do this without dying a lot. Especially if you want to be Legendary no die rules and basic basic. You can only play this as no die rule by leveling all basic skills, weapons and armor. Otherwise when you get charged they will eat you alive. That asari commando gets so many shots might as well have an assault rifle. The game makes the opponents harder and harder as you have no control of the automatic leveling.

I actually dont understand how or why ppl use assault rifles in Mass Effect 1 even with the remastered combat. Even the best ones don't do enough damage and become way too inaccurate after the first few shots. ME1 is so mindnumbingly easy if you just use snipers. Sure, cooldown but then just learn the timer or use a different sniper and you shred enemies at every single range even at low level

Super space cop saves the galaxy using airsoft guns… In all reality, this challenge looks like hell. Props to having the skill and patience to actually do it 👌 it’s interesting to see how different the game is played/how quests unfold without any skill points
