Pretty late to the video, but i really needed to get this out. I was rewatching your video for, like, the fifth time, and came to the sudden thought, “No way, did he skip the solar eruption? Maybe he just prefers the flairon, but the solar eruption is a great weapon to fight duke fishron with!” Except i couldn’t remember how to spell flairon, and spell-checked it on the wiki only to discover that the solar eruption isn’t a godam flail. Positively shaken to my core! I scrolled down to find that it was merely an unaffiliated melee weapon! “No way,” i thought, “i could have sworn that it was a flail!” My brain proceeded to short-circuit as i read the wiki article to find that it had never been a flail in the first place, causing me to throw my medium rare steak out the window like a godam psychopath. Even if you don’t read this absolute clusterfvck of a late comment that is trying very hard to emulate your video style without getting flagged by youtube, i hope you have a lovely day waffletime, and thanks for the awesome video.

When reforging at the goblin tinkerer, you can pick a mixed build of both lucky and menacing since, in terms of DPS, that offers way more than just one or the other.

I would say way more DPS is definitely a stretch. The DPS boost is negligible in vanilla and not super high in most mods (makes sense considering you’re only gettin base 4% from each modifier.) It’s probably better to just run full menacing because lucky is affected more by defense.

Heh, I watched a few slightly older WaffleTime vids before this (recently discovered him), LOVING them so far, but I kept feeling puzzled as to why he'd be mad about finding flails (even when he's totally allowed to use them in the challenge rulesets) to the point of him preferring to use _awful_ low-grade weapons/tools to defend himself instead... Then I also noticed that the few times he settled for them, he clearly didn't know how to use them right. Which was probably why he was unhappy to find them; he didn't realize the beauty of how, by simply holding the button & twirling it, they basically make a shredding forcefield against so many creatures (especially flying ones). That would've saved him SO many deaths in the past. 😅 Luckily, I then got to run into this video, to see semi-sequentially that he's grown as a player. This challenge definitely had to have been tough & frustrating at so many points, but at least it got him to properly, finally learn the art of flailing, which also got him to realize that they definitely have their uses. As I watch more videos, I'm sure he won't main them or anything, but it was really fulfilling to see him kicking butt all over the place with spiky instruments of twirling & hurling death! At least now better understood, hopefully less reviled (unless it's a running-joke to keep hating them, if so then carry on). The commentary, as always, was hilarious. I love how you found new ways to make the pillar sequences amusing with themed frustrations while taking them out. Fantastic episode here! In this gal's house, any time is Waffle Time! 😉 (BONUS TIP TO RANDOM PASSER-BY'S: Not that Waffles could find a gosh-darn regular Mace before getting the Ball o' Hurt [which also gosh-darn didn't want to be found], but not everyone notices that the original Mace is a Material.
