Psst, as long as you keep the Bruma mages guild quest active you get access to a full day 100% chameleon spell that Volanaro casts on Jskar every night at like 8 pm that you can stand in front of to absorb.

@themajoralex I almost exclusively play on max at level 1, I usually only limit myself to no fast travel and no duping. But you can get pretty far with everything else. If you don't mind load warping you can get the skull of corruption and staff of worms early and with some prep grab the grey aegis from the hero rank arena fights, it's got 100% magic resistance, the only downside is the arena is pretty tough at max

I had fun playing Oblivion as a Redguard wearing the Ring of Burden. My whole playthrough was just doing the Knights of the Nine until I retrieved the Gauntlets of the Crusader. Since Stendarr's Hammer isnt present in Oblivion you can just use any hammer in its place. Unless you wanna mod the hammer in.

@@ClearTheRidge I appreciate that! The spell I casted at that point was the power that red guards get which I did allow for in my rules. You could argue that it is a spell, but I didn't think it was a spell since it doesn't cost magicka and it's just a power that people of that race are born with. Also didn't wanna fat finger the cast button and have to reload everytime I did that. As for the After a Few series I'm thinking of rebooting it and trying to 100% the game so stay tuned.

@ Not a problem! I didn’t realise it was an innate spell that red guards had. I’ve only played as an imperial haha. You’re grand with it being in keeping to it being a cast-less challenge. If you do a reboot I can’t wait to see!

Awesome video dude! It was nice to see poisons used in oblivion since everyone is always abusing the magic system (with good reason) and after a while, challenge runs get kind of samey. As far as other potential challenges, i would personally be interested in a run where you have to use other creatures and non-essential NPC's as offensive weapons. I've recently watched a video called "How Long Can I Keep Glarthir Alive for in Oblivion?" by A Bard's Ballad and it got me thinking it would be a lot of fun to play as a sort of support character who cannot damage or even debuff other creatures and the only way they have to defend themselves is through their allies (animal or otherwise). Anyways. Keep up the good work!

I've got a RTX 4060, 32gb DDR4 ram, and an AMD Ryzen 5 5600x. I use OBS to record 1080p in 60 frames per seconds. No optimization mods but I really should slap some of those on because this game loves to crash.

Are you against dlc? I don't think a lot of people ever bother with the mage guild recommendations and just speedrun buying the candles for frostcrag spire, or whatever the mage dlc home is called. In it has both an enchanting altar and a spellmaking altar.

wait do people actually pause buffer lockpicking in oblivion? i thought that was a meme... the pistons will only lockinplace if they bounce at the same speed as the pick. i got so good at lockpicking in oblivion. at one point i did a 1 lockpick run where i could only pick up the first lockpick in the tutorial, had to lockpick every locked door or chest in dungeon location (caves, alyied ruins, etc) and if it broke for any reason i would delete my save. only had 17 deletions before i got it right.
