thirst bar isn't a very good concept given that it's just another hunger bar, and hunger is already enough of a problem in btw. If they were to add it, it should be very different compared to hunger in terms of effects on the player

Pretty sure that by the time he reached that milestone, others had gotten further. Remember that his actual game time was AT LEAST 500 hours. But he may very well have been the first person to have beaten both End Dragons due to the fact that by the time he had started farming for Protection Scrolls through his slime farm, only 16 scrolls had ever been found TOTAL. He was geared well above what others would have been thanks to his choice of base and farm locations. Especially, I think, when it came to so many elite arrows.

Being able to set your spawn point is actually insane, it turns it from essentially hardcore to survival, which is kind of a perfect way to end the playthrough, since now your basically just playing minecraft

Longer videos no longer do worse on the algorithm. They may even do better then shorter form content. This is why you see youtubers reuploading videos in "movie" form

In my experience tho, I find im never recommended longer videos, even from people I’m subscribed to, and I often end up going to minecraft KZbinrs channels and find that they’ve uploaded a few long episodes that I’ve never been recommended

@ it’s through a different audience. KZbin’s algorithm can now detect what videos you prefer on which device at which time of day. Individuals that fall asleep to listening or watching KZbin videos with auto play on eventually get recommended long form content. Because a sleeping person can’t change the video, they watch long form content with 100% retention. This portion of KZbin viewers has drastically increased in size. So they end up doing really well on that side of the algorithm

I love how a lot of things about early survival in this mod are more realistic than vanilla Minecraft, but at the same time there's also things like how absurdly fast you start to starve, and how you need to rip apart tree trunks for sticks instead of finding branches. My least favorite stuff is some (not all) of the changes that seemingly just equate "difficulty" to "seeing how patient you are"/"creating a time sink" Like adding extra frustrations and complexities to food and farming feels like it has an actual point to it, because it in turn adds depth and challenge to managing your time and resources, and incentivizes you to progress towards stuff that'll make it easier for you. But when it gets to a point where your "challenges" pretty much mandate making an afk farm and sitting around waiting forever, in turn testing pretty much nothing past initial setup and requiring the player to repeatedly put all the actual fun and intrigue on hold, to me you're taking things too far.

Early on you questioned if there were more mobs after a couple in game days - yes there are, and that's actually a vanilla mechanic called local difficulty. The more time you stay in an area, the harder it gets

Honestly the hunger draining naturally kind of sounds like a good idea for just base Minecraft; Because i *mean* in some odd sense we are literally starving 24/7 and only when you eat does that timer restart, same with breathing, drinking, etc I wouldn't mine a slowly losing hunger thing in Minecraft tbh, perhaps like a mode you can activate if you wish I also think that a dehydration mechanic that could be activated would be cool, where they can make glass and bottles, drinks, etc

I just found ur channel like 3 days ago and became OBSESSED, finished your first better than wolves video to see you literally posted a 2nd one. Waited until today to watch it when I'd have the full time. I've never watched a longer KZbin video, not even close. My main sticking point with better than wolves is that while it certainly makes things more challenging, it doesn’t really seem like the HARDEST mod, just the most grindy and time consuming one. BTW Player here: there was no need to spawnproof the wood platform at 48:00, mobs (At least in the base game of BTW) are unable to spawn on wood and planks. it's also why it's a popular choice for clay drying platforms in the mod, in addition to being the only natural gravity defying block Edit: If I remember correctly, based on textures you may be playing on a version where the BTW devs got rid of abandonment range

@danolantern6030 go watch his video where he survived in the void. Sort the comments by most recent and look for the one with the time stamps that mention where he obv spliced it and cheated. He edited a screenshot to say boats despawn after 4 hours from a website. That same website when googled says that boats will never despawn. His last video on this mod a Chicken died on a cactus and the raw chicken should have been destroyed, but it jump cuts and he has it in his inventory. I'm not watching this video due to the fact those ones I mentioned where I seen him cheating, that would lead you to believe he's cheated on this one. Multiple people have said how much they seem him struggling on stream too, then all of a sudden when he's not streaming and recording, he's doing exceptionally well in comparison to the stream. Most likely not him during the recordings or he's just cheating when possible
