I get the consensus that P5 is one of the easier games but Nyarly has also played these games ALOT. The overall player like myself did struggle in areas because I didn’t know everything. The Maruki fight took me a bit though I never died as well as other bosses such as Burger Boy where I beat the boss at literally 1 second left.

As with everything, it's easy if you know what you're doing. The only persona games I've played were 4 Golden and this one, and the only thing I find easier about this one over 4 golden are palaces since you can sneak through them all and always get ambushes for free. 4's clunky controls and no sprint made that harder to achieve. Yeah if I'd known from the start that if you level up the wardens' arcana until you unlock the ability to buy higher leveled personas you can break the game with fusion alarms to get busted strong endgame personas with maxed stats and pretty much any skill you want, then I'd probably find it easier. But then again if I knew you can basically do the same thing with shuffle time in persona 4, they'd go back to being even in difficulty.

@@joaogomes9405 imo shuffle time sweep bonus is more reliable than fusion alarms overall, especially for getting personas, and skill level ups. But being able to buy higher level personas definitely just breaks the game

Shadow Okumura was probably the only boss fight that actually felt harder and more drawn out by the changes made to it in P5R, especially with the Cognitive Haru phase (and the additional dialogue from Cognitive Haru in previous phases). I can beat the Shadow Okumura fight in under 10 mins in vanilla, but in P5R I had just under four minutes on the clock.

It's just like any series imo, the first one you play is the hardest. I'm playing 4 after I played 5.. 4 isn't hard, the boss fights are just ultra long and you need to grind a little to sit at a lvl where the mobs won't destroy you.

Tip for the reaper: once you’re strong enough, use tetrakarn or makarakarn on joker, reaper doesn’t like to hit those so it locks him into focus/megidolaon spam which if you continuously use attack down on its cool

Glad to see you finished this run. Persona 5 Royal is far from perfect, but I adore it all the same. Since you brought it up (in case you weren't aware), you might be interested to know that someone has actually been working on a "Hardtype mod" for this game for quite a while now (albeit for the vanilla game in RPCS3), and he's said that he intends to port the mod over to P5R when the PC version comes out! It's called "Persona 5: Reimagined" (by the same guy behind "Persona 4 Golden: Nightmare," which was excellent).

Having played this game for WAY too many hours now, i found that the only way to get a real challenge by this point is to set every partymember to "Act freely" to limit myself as much as possible... I like breaking JRPGs, and P5R is probably the one that's easiest to break to the point where basicly nothing can touch you. Not only can you make a persona that Null, Drain or Reflect literally everything except Almighty, but you can also EXTREMELY easily give any persona you want 99 in all stats, as long as you have enough money, access to the Hanging velvet room mechanic, patience and Chihayas ability to make Fusion Alarms much more likely (it's not required, it just makes things go much faster)...

Funny thing about Yusuke. I didn't use him for Hyakka Ryouran because its SP cost was very high. I am very stingy with items, especially recovery items, so I found another way. My main ways of buffing were to make a persona with all auto-party-wide buffs, good resistances, Vitality of the Tree trait (allows use of ambushed moves normally), and Thermopylae (same thing but much lower SP cost and can only be used when ambushed normally) that I'd switch to whenever the buffs ran out. I don't remember who I used, but I do remember fusing using Attis with the Vitality of the Tree trait to make a chain that had that trait.

When I played Persona 4 Golden for first time I didn't know that we can fuse different Persona to create new stronger Persona. I thought that shuffle time is the only way to get new Persona so I think I played without fusing for atleast till Level 30 to 40.

@@insertnamehere658 Considering that by the second dungeon, if you're willing to put enough time into grinding, you can have literally the second best single target physical damage skill in the game on Izanagi? Yeah, Shuffle Time makes P4G a cakewalk. Not even factoring in the fact that on NG+ runs, Marie's Dungeon gimmick is quite literally rendered completely irrelevant by Izanagi-no-Okami, thanks to Victory Cry, which means you will *always* have half of your SP. At all times. And enemies there are basically one shot by Megidolaon, because they're set up to factor in your low damage gear, which means nothing in the face of that skill's damage.

Nyarly the reaper is level 85, and if a party member is 10 levels under an enemy the party member will only do 4% damage to them, so te earliest you want to fight the reaper is level 75 or above so your attack do more than 50 damage. Of course you than throw all this info down the drain if you play the original P5 and wait until 11/13 for flu season

Now beat SMT V as a classic SMT protagonist so no demon fusions to simulate demons being basic instead of getting fusion moves and with protagonist learning only physical moves (to simulate lack of magic, so you can get passive buffs, charge and physicals abilities).
