I have noticed the long pause and that your later runs don't even talk about attempting minimum battles anymore. It's interesting to finally understand, your mindset held you back. You improved so much, I am kind of jealous. I've done a handful of these solo runs myself and I always keep having to look up where to go and where to find hidden items. Will you maybe do a routing and item guide for these? I think that would be very interesting. Rare candies, Elixers, PP Up, good tm moves, nuggets, everything.
@j6442 жыл бұрын
Would be cool to include all vitamins and where they can be found if it's worth going out of your way for them or if he just grabs the handful in silph co that arent out of the way and buys the rest
@Xpwnxage2 жыл бұрын
The minimal battles thing is actually really cool and I look forward if he does it in gen4. But yeah I'm glad he's abandoned that line of thinking in solo runs. His minimum battles videos actually inspired me to do a minimum battles run in Final Fantasy Tactics, which by the way is really hard. You can take no optional battles for grinding which is an important component for a normal run. You can technically abuse the last enemy in any battle to level up as much as you want but I banned that for my run. Never completed it by the way lol.
@Ultimaximus2 жыл бұрын
@@Xpwnxage Minimum battles was a great metric for comparing the best pokemon, but he's already done most of them now, and sometimes a Pokemon's performance will be hurt in attempting minimum battles when they would've been better off just going fast with some extra battles.

I'm a bit conflicted. One one hand, it's cool that you found old footage and didn't have to re record it... on the other hand, if even the long runs only take 2 hours in real time to record, I'd be inclined to have preferred the run be redone with current Jrose knowledge. I know there's also time going through and time stamping everything, but it would have given a substantially different result based on how sub-par his tactics were in his own words. That being said, it was still an entertaining video as always!

Eventually i had a friend at school take it home so he could use "this thing his cousin has" and when he brought it back to me i not only had the 150 Pokemon i initially caught, i also had Mew and Togepi with the move "metronome just like the cartoon". Great Times 😄👍
