I know it would come down to personal decisions, but I always like the idea of running a team where each pokemon would be a member of a rpg/DnD group. Only allowing one per arch type. So from the top of my head you would have: Tank/paladin type Melee fighter/brawler Ranger/archer Mage/caster Rogue/thief (pick up mon might be allowed here?) Healer/support Allows for a lot of variation in runs and always fun seeing what pokemons each person assign to each group

One of Gligar's origins is of a yokai that can either have scorpion claws or lobster claws, and if clauncher counts so should Gligar. Of course, changing your mind isn't really on my list of things to do. I was just bringing up a thought, and you said 'uhm, no'. When the video technically became 'can you beat pokerogue with crustaceans', there are many ways it could have gone, I was merely offering a thought because Crabhammer's learn list is extremely restricted.

taxonomically speaking, insects are part of the crustacean group, so almost all bug types technically counted, too, lol

Thats not necessarily true. Insects(hexapoda), crustaceans, arachnids, and myriapoda are the 4 subphyla of arthropods. So they are all arthropods but hexapoda are not part of crustacea. Besides that tho he separated lobsters/crayfish and crabs altho im pretty sure theyre all part of the same order.

@@SeniorsOW On the pancrustacea clade there's a subclass called Brachiura, they are described as "parasitic crustaceans". Hexapods are more closely related to decapods (crabs, lobsters, shrimps, etc.) than Brachiura are, by pure taxonomical definition, they are crustaceans. I understand not wanting to call them that, since its pure taxonomical technicality, and culturally its easier to distinguish them, not even I would go around calling flies crustaceans, it was more of a "fun fact" type'o comment than an "erm actually ☝️🤓" one

@@Josabella brachiura is a much lower level of classification. Hexapods and crustaceans are two distinctly different subphyla. Crustaceans have fused heads and torsos, the hexapods have the 3 separate body segments. Theyre a part of the same phyla, sure. A challenge I’d like to see is a horse/equine only run, meaning you can only use Pokémon that are based on members of the equine family. Kantonian/Galarian Ponyta/Rapidash (horse, obviously) Blitzle/Zebstrika (zebra) Keldeo (horse) Mudbray/Mudsdale (donkey) Glastrier (horse) Spectrier (horse) Obviously you can’t put the 3 legendaries as your starters, but everyone else is fair game. Also, this is optional, but tapirs are part of the Equus genus…so technically you can use Drowzee too. I’ll leave that to your judgement.
