Beanbag shotgun is probably one of the best shotguns in the game; it causes even armored enemies to stagger and recoil in pain while also being potentially lethal as headshots with it will kill suspects. You have to give them the beans, Martin.

Fun fact! There’s a mod called “Sniper or Not,” and basically it allows you to use the suspect weapons/hidden weapons (most of the actually have proper animations). For example, some of the included weapons are the Saiga 12 (AKA the soviets shoving a 12 gauge into an AK platform), the G3 (my beloved), and best of all, the RPD and M249. So instead of having to use a shit little dingy P90 to execute pedos, you can go john wick mode with a SAW.

It was never a tactical shooter. The optimal way isn't to plan and take it easy, but strap the heaviest armor you have on, bring you ballistic shield and take your .308 with AP rounds to every problem. The suspects respond to taking 6 357 magnum hollopoints to the knee as well as they do a bean bag. RoN is genuinely a trash game

As another person with Medal of Valor achievement, most of the comments are right. Beanbag shotgun is the best for shutting people down quick. With it also being non lethal you can shoot first in most scenario if they’re armed. They also have unlimited range and will always stun when shot anywhere in the body. Except the head which will kill. Pepperball guns have a aoe effect and takes time to actually stun. They work like tiny CS impact grenades where it takes time for the effect to kick in and spread out (Head shots seem to work best but never constant). With AOE if you don’t have direct line of sight you can shoot at their feet or such to stun them from distance, you don’t always need to hit them directly. This why people can get red screened when walking up to suspect you peppered (Happened to Martin) to stop that wear a gasmask when using. CS Gas is OP, use this with a gas mask and flood the place like there is a fog machine 24/7. Btw some the animations are bugged where it looks like their standing while in CS but are actually surrendered on their knees. You can go up to some people and arrest them while in CS. If they dropped the gun while coughing you can arrest them. Mirrorguns for information is good. CS Launcher if you wanna carry even more grenades. Taser isn’t as good due to limited range and hard to aim. Best tip is center mass and take your time with aiming (I like tasers but they are hard to use, if you’re running coop apparently they are client side and more likely to miss with people who aren’t running the server). Also turn on the laser and trust it. You can command suspects and civilians. Will only work with they are on their knees surrendered or arrested. It works exactly the same as commanding AI teammates. You can tell them to move to you or to a spot you want them too. You can make them turn around at distance to make them easier to arrest when going up and lessen their ability to fake surrender and stab or shoot you. You can also tell civilians to leave the area and run to your spawn point but that one’s a bit bugged. Good luck everyone. If I’m wrong feel free to correct me, most of this based on personal game experience. I never realized how vast majority never use non lethal.

Yes you can . I wanted a challange for myself in this game , and the hardest one is getting S score on all missons , wich means : Killing no one , cuz when you kill a suspect you get 5 points , and when you arrest him you get 35. It was a painfull journey that took me 6h 31mins and 48 seconds and life of my beloved officer Hakimura. Tips : use only beanbag shotgun , use CS gas , use full armor with ceramic ,peek doors rather than opening beacause then they cant hear you enter the room and you can catch them off guard and dont suck. What you get from it : all cosmetics in the game , and a huge flex. What you lose : your sanity and +6h of your life. Higly recomended. And if you think Ideas of march is hard....Well lets just not talk about Valley of the dolls and the Hospital and the Hide and seek missions

The guys in the beginning carrying off suspects are the "trailers" TOC notifies when you call in suspects. On some missions, as soon as all the armed suspects are down, they can come in and start removing people for arrest/sorting out. They will also collect guns and other evidence. In the hospital level, if you go down some of the staircases, you can see them holding the stairwell ready to go once you're done.

A couple of tips: 1. You can change the bots’ loadouts in the loadout screen. Give them all pepperball guns (the bigger pepperball gun not the smaller) and take all the mags out of their pistol. Dont bother giving them tasers. They dont know how to use them without you telling them. Dont give bots the beanbag shotgun as they can get accidental headshots and kill the target 2. Never use the smaller pepperball gun. Its just worse in every way 3. You can melee with the b button. It can eventually kill, but it does very little damage. 4. Pepperball guns wont work on enemies with gas masks. Prepare accordingly. 5. Use your bots. They are incredibly useful. They can do everything you can except find unique soft objectives (like reporting the streamer’s computer or illegal bitcoin miner), you just have to tell them to do it. Highly recommend playing the tutorial to learn how to use them 6. Light armor is the best way to go, as you can carry the most items with it.

As one of the guys who got all achievements within a month, getting S rank was annoying but a tough challenge. Best thing is loading up with a heavy vest, beanbag shotty with 3 ammo packs, and the rest goes into CS gas with me holding a CS gas launcher. Copy and paste for teammates but switch the launcher for breacher shotgun or shields. Peek a room and throw a gas, wait for it to pop and send the team in first. You’ll want nutritionist, armorer, paramedic, and (I think) negotiator to get people to surrender easier. Run a gas mask for obvious reasons. Remember that slow is smooth, and smooth is fast. Get a PID on a weapon or erratic behavior, and utilize your team to watch them or to make sure they aren’t a threat anymore. There’s probably more to say but that’s all I remember right now
