Did you know that in the 1-2 chapter when Sheva and Chris meet the infected blonde lady (4:54), instead of shooting her in the head or body and making her mutate, you can shoot her in the knees, walk around her and perform an instant-kill melee that stops her from ever turning into a Cephalo? Chris’s “Snap Neck” and Sheva’s “Slit Throat” grant them: incredibly long invulnerability frames, an instant kill that mitigates any chances for a zombie to mutate, and significantly reduces the amount of ammo you have to use :)

with is a shame because if you know how to play with the AI re5 AI is doable to beat even professional with her, just give her decent weapons, no need infinite weapons, and you take car eof her/protect here just like if her as you newbie friend, she does very okaywish, the only downside is that you gameplay is forced to be based on her AI you can't just play the game the way you want no, you have to adapt you playstyle to babysit the AI with is bad, if you want do a strategy the ai can't do well, well you can't. you have to play with what the AI can do. its much better than the cheating partner we got in re 6 that cheats with infinite ammo infinite health, and is not even playing the game with you proplery, its much worse. atleast in re 5 you can have the "Coop" experience playing solo.

Best thing I found to do was to give her ONLY the stun rod and the bolt action rifle. Her AI has aimbot and she one shots 90% of the enemies in the game. Also it looks like you don’t know how to put her in attack mode, hold circle or B and press up on the d-pad, she attacks more and becomes a gigachad

Sheva's AI isn't terrible if you unlock infinite ammo or before that, just give her stun rod so she can melee. The issue with Sheva's AI was that she will burn through ammo then she will attempt to punch enemies, and she will usually get mobbed. So once you unlock infinite ammo and give her weapon she is complete beast because she's actually very accurate, so you want to give her high tier sniper rifle or one of the better guns. Until you get infinite ammo, just give her stun rod so she at least does some damage when she whacks someone. I still love Sheva, she's one of the best "one time guest" characters, really hope she comes back into the series at some point.

no need infinite ammo, infinite ammo is a cheat option, she can play well even with normal ammo. you can even beat professional with her without much issues, however is key that you both don't share the same weapons, if you have a smg, she get a shotgun if ytou get a shotgun she get a smg, so the ammo is properly split betwen the two.

Sheva is kinda broken with infinite ammo, i remember giving her a L Hawk on the final wesker fight in the volcano and she breaks the game cuz she just stun locks him when he jumps up top after her

I didn't notice it mentioned in the video or other comments but one of the best techniques the player has access to in RE5 is the neckbreaker melees. Kneecapping an enemy and approaching them from behind gives you the prompt for it and it's an instant kill on any Majini type enemy and also prevents plagas from spawning from them, on top of copious i-frames. There's always a few enemies that are scripted to spawn a plaga such as the woman that first introduces the mechanic, and its just such a beneficial tool to have. Let's you save the flash bombs for enemy types that you can't instant kill in such a way.

Let's you melee while aiming if the button prompt is on screen, you can still do the fast aim turn, and is just the overall best. Also reloading in the menu during melee attacks or other actions like dropping from ledges, climbing ladders, makes a huge difference.

In my case, Sheva rarely goofs up. Sure, she may have fallen for the ol' "gold pouch over retractable spikes" trick once or twice, but she's also saved my bacon more often than not. Most of the time, I give her a decent gun, set her to Attack Mode, and watch her wreak havoc on any Majini who dare look at her (or me) funny. Granted, I play on Amateur, but that's because video games are meant to be fun.

Most people aren't aware that: A. You can control your AI teammate's behavior. B. The AI's performance is dependent what weapon you give it. Its broken with handguns and sniper rifles because it's propensity to almost always land headshots.

So in 1-1 fun little thing after the gate goes down and you get all you want you can go upto the very top floor of the starting house stand between the two bits of metal on the roof in the middle of it. Make sure sheva is to your left and just stand there enemies completely lose you and will not be able to find you or attack you. There are alot more speedrun strats that could make this alot easier but still very nice run and very fun to watch

The Majini and a few other enemies prioritise the player throughout most of the game on Professional difficulty. Send your AI partner into 'attack' mode to keep them out of the way, otherwise an enemy that's targeting you may hit them instead.

You could have hid in 1-1 very easily. That building that you start off in has a second level. You get to it after the gate opens and then you can make your way around the left side of the map to climb on top and up a ladder. Very easy to funnel enemies with only one way up

14:48 okay I actually tried to beat that boss without the rocket launcher and what I figured out is this: You're supposed to IGNORE the flamethrower and stick with your flame weapons. Incendiary grenades, Grenade Launcher Incendiary grenades, the propane tanks etc. You hit it with one of those weapons and it's weakpoints will expose themselves, but they go away really quickly if you shoot them. So you pick up the flamethrower and start spraying it, this will lock it down allowing you to at least blast away one weak point before you start it over again. That's how you're supposed to do it. Figured that out after 20 deaths on my prof playthrough. In conclusion? Yeah stick with the rocket launcher. (Or save save the rocket launcher for the double gatling brothers, because yeah with Sheva's AI they're a nightmare to deal with.)

So long as you use the call button when you're downed, and ensure she has only 1 gun (a rifle or shotgun, preferably), she's not that bad. Maybe try to make sure she doesn't have unmixed herbs, as she will not save them.

On professional difficulty, the QTE Wesker kill shortcut doesn't work. Your health will drain too fast, he'll throw Chris off his back, Sheva will see this and take a step back then freeze, and then Wesker uppercut Sheva into lava.

The real hard part about 1-1 is essentially you having no shotgun, unlike in RE4. If you go for it, you can get the Vz.61, but it's no shotgun and can't make any breathing room for you. Seriously. The shotgun was always the space-maker in every other RE game.

From my experience, I've started feel the professional difficulty is more unbalanced and not fun to a point Sheva wasn't coded and balanced enough to handle such high pressure. Especially some of the Tanky boss fights that takes forever to kill. Like below professional and even on Veteran, I actually believe Sheva can carry me through tough situations and she's surprisingly competent enough to take care of herself. Just not on Professional because again,her AI just breaks and go haywire the moment things goes ugly. This is why i hate the stupid "Higher difficulty = Buff Enemies and Bosses i.e make them bullet sponges and Nerf players and companions to a point it only takes one hit for a gameover" Its just pure artificial difficulty for the sake of it.

If you want to feel pain you should try RE village on village of shadows difficulty on a fresh save… you will be stuck on the starting section for a while… if you don’t think that it’s hard enough you could do it without the duke as well. Tho for me that would be a fucking nightmare

Can you beat RE5 more than once without getting bored and having amnesia? no i'm serious, I own it and barely remember doing it once, but I have the achivements.

Do i have cracked RE5 version or what? In my playtroughs Sheva (or Chris) ai is like an aimbotter. Failed me mostly because of my ignorance or too many enemies. Ashley? She's literally your backpack. Idk why ppl hate them so much

because they don't know how to play or work with the AI the ai is perfectly fine to beat professional difficulty without major issues, only a few specific maps or fights get a bit problematic, like the jill-wester vs chris and sheeva fight. and i think also one of the reasons is because the pc version of the game the AI is better than the original console version for some reason. also notice that in his video he barely changes the ai modes its always in the "Cover" mode the ai have a passive mode called cover, where he is forced to use the weakest weapon stay close to you and only shoots when enemys are close, basically in this mode the ai is mostly shut off forced to folow you and not able to do the things she wants as she is forced to use weakest weapon and wastes way more ammo this way. and then theres the active mode the ai does much better as active as she can walk much farther from you pick items on their own chose the weapons to use instead of being just the weakest one etc. the player playing the game must changes this modes during the game to fit the situation if you want run = cover mode, if you want kill enemys = attack mode. tho we could argue and have a discussion taht is bad for the player to have to micro manage the AI modes like a drone, during the gameplay and the game should have done this automatic we can have a discussion about this, but letting the ai stay cover mode the entire mode you are essentially playing with the ai mostly shutted down, like lets say the ai have 20 features, in cover mode almost everything get disabled. also at 12:44 also see that sheeva dying on that sun lasers??? thats cover mode, the ai is forced to follow the player she have no choice, if the ai has in Attack mode, she would not be forced to follow the player and would be allowed to wait the laser.

If you wanna be free from AI shenans then try doing some of the harder difficulty challenges on Resident Evil Outbreak *without* AI teammates. The AI teammates on Outbreak are useful to many differing degrees (Unless you have David as an AI who has an extremely low social level and will most likely always fuck off by himself and sit around and do nothing) but playing by yourself means you don't have to micro manage and keep your flock with you.
