A reminder, RCE. Towers each have their own tech trees, and certain upgrades will not appear unless you have the prerequisite upgrades. Most notably, the upgrades that add elemental damage types to towers don't appear unless you have the first upgrade in the tree. So, for example, unless you have the best upgrade (Heavy Shafts I), you won't ever get Flaming Bolts I which sets your ballista bolts on fire.

TL;DR You need a nice, good and heavy shaft if you want a flaming, poison, or bleeding shaft!

The terrain height for towers also increases the tower BASE damage (as well as its range). So you always want to build towers on the highest elevation if possible.

You should try to focus upgrading health damage for the towers that are close to base, armor damage for those which are medium range and shield damage for those which are far away. If you upgrade a tower with shield damage and it's right by your base, it won't be efficient at all.

If you didn't expand all directions Then the shortest route would be the hardest as you have very little time And in three you have defend many way so it would be better to get all to Moderate distance

different lengths helps since they reach the middle at different times, so your center towers can focus

Yes but when those enemies comes which spawns more enemies when they die it's best get longer routes and at the time they come you really can't extend the shorter route before they destroy you so it's better to have longer routes And mostly those spawned enemies are fast as fuck and can't slow them for a while are there spawn In my opinion atleast

This is true, but you kinda also want to have a shorter path to stagger the entry of enemies if possible, especially when branching from the same path.

I like to do my double defence with one short lane with no splits and the other super long. If it never splits then it's very manageable at say 5 tiles and you can focus almost completely on the other side.

Don't forget about your attack priorities! Near the tower, I set them to: Progress, Fastest, Near Death (in that order). Farther away, you want to have: Most Shield, Most Armor, Most Health. So the outer towers will soften things up for the inner towers. Other people may have a better strategy, but leaving all of your priorities to Progress will make it harder to kill the big stuff.

there's a mod that lets you reset it on demand and keep your points which is highly useful because once you start doing achievement runs you only want to unlock the cards you need for your tower(s)

It was because you spend multiple rounds not doing enough damage due to running out of mana consumption and kept buying mana weapons instead of placing any mana siphon, which only hurt mana consumption, lowering your damage even more

Frost keeps eat mana they are why you keep dying. They are good towers but you need to be more conservative with them. They are always on so even if the enemies aren't nearby they drain the mana. Tesla also aren't great imo

Encampment spam plus frost keep to slow enemies down is actually a stupid broken combo on single defense mode, you should try it

When I struggled with the double lane level, I reset the whole thing and didn't unlock any extra weapons so that I was more likely to get upgrades to the weapons I wanted (ie ballista and mortars). I beat the double lane and got to lvl 40 on the triple, always making a beeline for the range upgrades through the tech tree so that towers could cover more than one lane at once.

So some mechanics you might not be aware of. The more variety you have in towers will net you more money. You get bonus gold for each type of tower that hits an enemy before it dies, so having multiple types will let you expand you army quicker versus upgrading a single tower type. Another thing, all the towers that use mana are absolutely dreadful. There are 3 specific towers that are worth using of the mana towers; obelisk, rail gun, and the freeze tower. Also each turret is good against either armor shields or health at base. So certain towers are better in certain places. A mechanic that isn't as easily noticeable is a particular damage mechanic. The enemies will take 0 health damage as long as they have armor or shields, and they'll take 0 armor damage as long as they have shields. So you need to get rid of them as early as possible in their march. In this order Shields then Armor then Health.

Banditry is always your downfall. You get plenty of gold building near houses but you end up losing by clicking the Banditry card 1,2 or 3 times.

3:43 before any shields appear I always set the priority to LeastShield->MostArmor->Progress because you will 2000% forget to change and they will flame the people that still has shields. Note: If shields are not down enemies don't take armor damage at all.

Honestly the single best card in the game is, by far, Creeping Cough, which slows enemies by 5% of their total poison buildup. It's so good, in fact, that I find it's actually best *not* to ever unlock the Frost Keep in the shop, because their actual damage is pretty lackluster and it's not difficult to get Creeping Cough every run. As long as you don't increase max poison per second by too much, you can easily have all of your enemies moving at like a quarter or less their normal speed.

have flamethrowers only target progression and position them so the enemy runs away in in a straight line from the tower. This ensures the tower always fires straight down a lane burning all enemies as they walk down it maximizing DPS

while the targeting doesnt matter for what the tesla hits since it just hits everything around it, it does matter for what experience it gets. Towers only gain experience for the primary target. eg they look at a target with shield they gain shield exp. regardless of what else they hit.
