That's the big problem of the production, ellie brutally kills many people around and also in cutscene but then all fo sudden it became to much for her with mel. I think the story have many problems if compared with the first game because it has not a direction but simply all happens because of luck/bad luck.

@@luigipio557 I would necessarily attribute Ellie's suffering to bad luck, more as a consequence of her behavior, with the exception of Joel's death of course. I do agree that there is dissonance between the gameplay and the cutscenes (there's a term for that I'm forgetting), which is one of the reasons why I look forward to the next two seasons of the show, since they don't have to deal with that issue considering the fact that its being told through television.

For me it was the exact opposite Dina killed the most and helped the most whenever I did a double take down, she was always there Jesse was okay he didn't do a lot of takedowns but he shot at a lot of people when I ruined the stealth approach Lev and Manny were useless piles of wood, they could have not been there and the result would have been the same. MEL pulled her weight more and she was full of baby!

Background Boris lived in the Hillcrest suburb of Seattle with his daughter Sofia and was well liked by his community.[3] He was a skilled archer before the apocalypse, winning many trophies.[2] Defending Hillcrest Boris rose in standing among his peers following Outbreak Day with his archery talents, killing many clickers with ease. Also I think the kill at 8:37 can be avoided if you have a brick/bottle to stun that runner too.

You can subtract one kill from the total kill count because in the subway when the runner attacks dina after Ellie breaks her mask, you can stun the runner with a brick or a bottle before it grabs Dina. I only know this because a speedrunner I watch uses that trick.

8:35 So for that infected there is a speedrun strat that would have been useful - if you had a brick/bottle - you throw the brick/bottle at the infected and it doesn't atack Dina, cause we run up the stairs while it's stunned. It can break the area later but I believe it's just visuals and it works.
