You have to aim for the cupolas, you can one shot basically everything if done right

You need minimum armor penetration of their roof armor. Pz 4 has 15mm, T-34 has 15mm, M4 has 25mm. Most vehicles have between 15mm-44mm of roof armor.

Overpressure is crazy you can hit an open top any where on it and it will destroy, my most crazy is shooting tbe b1 bis 47mm he round on an m10 turret front to kill it

​@thesnazzycomet it does not make sense. The pressure wave will go the path of least resistance (which would be over the top and not going much down into a tank). If this was realistic then tank designers would never make an open top tank destroyer with armor, it would be pointless

​@@michaelvigil5321i mean US tank destroyers weren't meant to fight anything with HE, the armor it has is not made to protect against tanks (that's why its so thin), it's actually meant to protect against infantry low caliber guns IF the tank gets in a unfortunate condition which shouldn't be happening, if the infantry has a panzefaust for instance the armor it has doesn't do much either, so why put a roof sacrificing precious visibility then? but again, these tank destroyers aren't meant to be fighting close quarters enough to get hit by panzerfausts, that explains the M10's atrocious horizontal turret traverse
