I do not feel too proud of this video if I am to be honest. It was a bit rushed due to me going on vacation along with wanting to get this out in time for the 5-year anniversary game. Nonetheless, here is the finished product of roughly a year and a half of work.

Normally, I'd only do one challenge run per game so that I am not repetitive with the content that I produce. The West of Loathing DLC is one such exemption that I would not mind tackling, albeit not for a while.

Thank you! The objective of these videos at their core is edutainment. I educate the viewers on how they could do this run themselves, as a guide of sorts. In it I also entertain the viewers so that anyone that wouldn't try the run can still enjoy my telling of it. My only regret for this video was that I couldn't include more humor in time.

As far as I can tell, I should be the first one to have done this because quite honestly, I don't think anyone else is as crazy as me to seriously attempt something like this. I've talked to a large chunk of what is remaining of the community that I could reach out to and they seem to think that this is the first time it's been done, so yeah, I suppose I am the first.

Dang, that run is definetely something else compared to a more casual playthrough of the game .___. How much you would've say the order of convincing people to move into Dirtwater actually matters in the long run?

I'd say that if I had not done the order I had done for... The first five shops, I'd probably have had to rely on luck for the hardest fight in the run.

watching your progression of the challenge was a blast! however it was a bit painful to see you lose the first run to the cultists because i got past those guys in a completely pacifist way with the el vibrato headband and stealing the cult leader’s mask from another cave 😅

I do like that method and would have preferred it, but sadly not being able to level my social skill and not being able to wear the mask because of the Hard Hat kind of made that not so possible for me. I'm glad you were able to get around it though!

Does the lemonade give a stat the fudge does not? Because I thought the lemon was just a worse fudge

It's a matter of what consumable type it is! For a build maximizing on Mysticality and Spell Damage, it's better to go lemonade of fudge as the Mushrooms give +23 Mysticality per use and is repeatable while the lemonade is the best Mysticality Potion.

Shadows Over Loathing is a very different game on a statistical level. The biggest distinction is how there are barely any stat increases from equippable gear and even the Character Sheet to unlock "level-ups" doesn't give anything useful half the time. I've considered doing a minimum stat run, but when losing fights the chance that you'd get increased stats is, well, annoying. It's something I'm considering routing out in the future though if no one else does!
