Oh wow that is legit insane. I have like 1000 hours of starbound playing alone and with my brother and you truly used every trick in the book. The avian blessing and food cooking is insane, accually setting up the colonies and doing side quest is also something you never do since you can just recruit penquins from the outpost. Also seeying the uncommon stuff like the alt of the staffs, and the kluex stuff is nice. This is just a masterpiece, how this video has only 5k views i cant even begin to understand. It also reminded me i need to 100% starbound since i have not done that so i will do it now. Also i think the neutral huge bird monsters can be attacked with nova but i might be wrong here. Looking forward to more amazing videos man!

For your sanity please don't try to 100% Starbound, it involves bug catching and figurine collecting. I tried. I really, REALLY tried. Gave up after 10 hours of trying to get bugs with not even half the collection.

@@GenericMystic I admit it i kinda exagereted. I forgot how rare stuff in starbound is. I will get as much as i can thou. Not figurines since those have terrible drops rates. I remember not being able to stop a solus katana which is much more common around 100-200 times and at the end the figurune did drop (no solus katana to this day thou). I dont think i will be able to get them. Legendary fish are rare too altrough i will get them i caught them a couple times. For the Bugs i didnt really try it so ill get as much as i can. Rare pets could be painful to do but i did grind some rare ones and got them do i think i can get this one. Its not an easy thing to do however, i will try to do as much as i can. Staff alts are uncommon? I used them all the time playing with friends. They were a very fun part of staves.

@@NunyaBizniz-om6xf yup. They are uncommon. They are fun to play and i like them but i'm reality only the healing one has accually use. Slow mo is fun but useless, same with low gravity, repelling is not good since building yourself in is always better and bosses it doesnt do anything. The Rage gives a nice buff but due to its small are of effect it isn't realy worth it to try to stay in that small area, unless you do some absurd challenge. The healing one use is also limited, its good if you dont want to waste bandages, and maybe as additional healing but its not that great, its usable thou.

You should check out the Frackin' Universe mod it basically completes the game by adding a NMS like resources extraction and crafting system along with a research tree and multiple new ores

I should note with your comment about not being able to stack buffs, if you're playing a difficulty with hunger, I believe you can eat multiple buff foods so long as your hunger doesn't fill up completely (at which point you will still get the full effect)

Mhm! I think what I meant to convey is that to have a 100% upkeep it was impossible to have both buffs with just food.

just want to correct the statement about the Ruin being randomly generated. while yes progress resets each time you enter, the planet IS NOT random; there are just multiple spawn points, that's why it changed so many times for you

I like these challenge videos, have you considered doing them on some games that are a bit more popular currently? Think that was a large part of why your Escapists videos have done so well.

I would do that if it weren't for the fact that a lot of the time the development of these videos takes 2-3 months due to various reasons. It's also just that most of the time I'm not really interested in the "popular" thing.

Best way for dps of pets is to capture a monster from a hunting mission. I capture peacekeeper bounty monsters. I have a pet named sona that does over 300 damage a hit.

After playing fracking universe, regular Starbound seems so simple and much less brain numbingly, rocket sciency confusing… You need the reinforced carbon plate to upgrade your station… to get that you need carbon, to get that you need to distill one of 10 resources, but first you must create a distillery. To create one you need reinforced glass, to get that you need co2, to get that you need……………..

Same reason I could never get into Modded Minecraft, stuff was too confusing. But also I haven't touched FU and don't rlly plan to because of the crapstorm surrounding that, so I wouldn't know for certain how confusing it is.

@@GenericMystic the only main mod I played for mc is Hexxit, highly recommend it’s basically only fantasy and action, very simple. Basically Tekkit but without the need for an engineering degree. I’d recommend fracking universe if you wanna play star bound again but are bored of the original experience. Don’t know about the crapstorm sorounding it I try and stay out of politics. Love the art hate the artist sort of thing.

Starbound: Great concept. Not a great game, with a crappy development filled with horrible mismanagement and lies. Frackin’ Universe Mod: The real Starbound, created by those who actually wanted the game to succeed. It makes it into an actual game, with balance and fleshed out mechanics.

NO THE FUCK IT ISN'T. Frackin Universe is the worst mod to ever exist, and the creator is the biggest asshole to exist. The research takes fucking ages and slows down an already boring progression, you can't even cheat because they found a way to make console commands kill you, and the creator constantly harasses other mod makers and steals their code. Multiple competent coders in the Starbound community would rather be in a fucking fat fetish mod's server because it's not Frackin Universe. Including an anonymous former FU dev and an infamous Starbound shitpost modder. Apologies for the rude tone (and the dumb insult I made before editing this), but Jesus Christ, FU strikes many chords for me. Edit 2: People mentioned wanted to remain anonymous.
