Thats quite literally the imperial guards origin story. One dude, after defending the imperial Palace from the forces of horus, ran into the throne room, saw horus about to strike down the emperor who was doing absolutely nothing because he was so shocked that some of his sons didn't like him, and decided that it was a good idea to shout at this chaos empowered primarch, calling him a little bitch and challenging him to a duel, without any fear for his own life. And that was what caused big E to stand up and utterly obliterate horus, and declare that the sola auxiliaria were no more, to be replaced with the imperial guard, an actual fully fledged piece of the imperiums military. Guardsmen best boys.

​@@mangosteak Yes and No, not all guardsman regiment do that, only some, even the Death korps of Krieg actually use real trench warfare tactics, they use their mens lives to good use even though it cost them heavy casualties, they never wasted their men's live, most guardsman regiment use tactics and strategy to outsmart the enemy and reduce losses

I think what most new players get wrong is they play Guardsmen as if they're playing Tau, marching a bunch of squishy ranged units and hope they kill everything before being in melee-range.

Great video my guy, i really liked the stategy you used in keep your enemies closer. For potential Dark Crusade and Soulstorm videos, I'd recommend playing as the two new factions added to each of the games. Because we've already seen your experince with the existing factions, also playing as two races will allow us to view ALL the stronghold missions, (as you can't do the stronghold mission for the faction you're playing as).

3:21 The fastest build rate in the game is 2 workers maximum on a structure, stat wise, specifically 2 chaos workers are the fastest builders in the entire game because their ability increases build and heal rate by 50% I think it was, while constantly draining their HP. Mechanicus workers otherwise are the 2nd best in the whole game because they basically are half as good as a chaos worker using his ability without the HP loss. Only reason why they are not number 1 is because they are not as expendable with their requisition cost or numerous as chaos workers. Mind you the imperial Guard is basically 1 of the easiest and strongest factions in the whole game.

It's incredibly funny how easy mission four as the guard becomes once you get the land raider past the first gate. After that you've got a ton of allied guard to hold back the chaos and Orks and it's not being constantly fucked by the other factions so it can basically just roll forward to the end point.

The reason I didn't finish with both is it would add literally nothing but ad revenue on my end. It would literally just be: "I beat the mission as Guard/Orks, then I swapped into Eldar/Chaos, then I got the big fuck off Titan gun and beat the mission". There is no strategy when the mission objective is use the big fuck off gun and 1-2 shot every enemy.
