I love how you made the home so catered to Tangy aesthetic-wise but liveable and walkable for the villager! It’s too easy to just go ham on decorating and forget to leave space for them to walk around and interact with the furniture (like with the armchair thing) but you managed that and also filled it with lots of cute decorations.

omg yes you did tangy! haven’t even gotten a minute in yet, but i’m so glad!! i’ve been trying to find more people renovating their villagers houses, not only aren’t many people doing it on youtube but the ones that are are kinda lackluster… :p you spoil us with your style. btw tangy was one of my first villagers so she has a starter house and i’ll always be sad. 😭

I didn’t think I’d wanna change the villagers’ interiors because I don’t love making interiors in general, but I knew I wanted to change the exteriors to match my island theme. However!!! Once I got started, I couldn’t stop changing interiors too. And these vids are so inspirational

Just a few hours ago I changed every villager's house into a japanese theme, plus now I have most of them wearing kimonos. Definitely one of the best features added with Happy Home Paradise

Up until the DLC, I literally had a list of "approved move ins" I had gone through the villager list, checked out the exterior of their houses, and sorted them by where their house would fit in my island. No matter how cute they were, not on the list, not moving in. Now it doesn't matter and it's broadened my horizons 😏

One of my favorite reasons we can decorate villager houses is because I hated when I'd gift things or other villagers would gift things and they'd display it and it was not the vibes 😅 my Elvis's house was especially bad before

I've designed my Villager houses 2-4 times just to get it right~👌I currently have Poncho, Agnes, Deli, Fauna, Penelope, Quillson, Celia, Purrl, and Kabuki, which means I have one last spot left. Currently looking for any Male Cat, likely Raymond. Anyhow I think the first rule is to make it make sense (at least to the Villager's general aesthetic), and the second is to make sure they can walk around. For the first, use the "Order" items to your advantage. I've made certain exceptions, like for Deli (as he runs a gas station/dollar store); I still gave him a bed though (a hammock). For Poncho, I gave him some of the Sloppy set (the table and bed). For Purrl I gave her Luna's Bed, it fits in perfectly. I'm mixed about partition walls since they're... awkward. I wish there were smaller versions of them, only Poncho has one RN.

@liss the lass! For Shino's house, I think a Shamisen/Koto - traditional Japanese themed orchestral performance theme very much suits her! She loves music and traditional Japanese elements. And I think with the right wallpaper, furniture and decorations (lots of hanging plants too!) - obviously with your interior design talent it will be perfect!

You're right, you cannot move your town hall without modding! Towards the beginning of the video, I explain how to renovate villager's houses which does not require modding. All you need to do is progress past 30 houses in the HHP DLC!
