at 1:39 the opponent didnt want to trade rook for queen so tried to make the trade with bishop which he managed to do. at 2:08 Hikaru didnt take the rook because there would be a discovered check if the bishop remained there which is dangerous

The guy didn't take the queen with rook because the queen can't be saved, so he chose to arrange to take with bishop as the third piece traded for the queen instead. As for Hikaru not trading for rook, probably figured it would be harder to play from that position even though he'd get rook instead of bishop as the third traded piece

Not for nothing, but I suspect that deciding your main focus is streaming takes the pressure off. And for income, you are not dependent on the tournament circuit. It must be kind of freeing and the result looks like very strong play to me, Hikaru, you are for sure still in it. But now you can play or not play any event as you please and you know they will invite you. It's a good spot to be in, enjoy. Plus I heard that you are an investor, so very independent in that way as well. And not only Twitch, but income from KZbin also.
