I got a 2012 g37 ipl with 200k miles runs like butter and I drive it harsh those cars are bulletproof the only thing that usually goes out on vqs over time is valve covers and timing chain 🔥

I previously had a 2009 g37x with 180k. Had pretty much every bolt on mod and was running on e85. I know for a fact that it was not well maintained. Because that’s how I was able to get it so cheap. Owner rarely changed the oil and it sat for a long time. I bought it at 130k and put 50,000 miles on it no problems! And I pushed it every day. These cars are extremely bulletproof. Just make sure you change the oil and check your dipstick every once in a while. I just bought a 2010 g37x with 37k miles a month ago and I plan to change the oil every 3000 miles and take extremely good care of it. This car will probably outlive me…

My 13 has 170k right now. Bought it 2.5 years ago with 76k miles. Daily drive 70-80 miles a day lol no oil leaks, fbo on 93. Daily pulls and flame map. I change my oil every 4k miles and always check my oil levels every 1k. My transmission however has been replaced with a 30k mile Q50 trans

@@ARCarReviews5 for an auto 8k is kinda high, If it’s manual that’s not too bad. If it’s older than a 2013 ask him if the gallery gasket was changed. And as long as it drives fine, 180k isn’t bad.

2013 G37xS owner here in the New England area. Engine and drivetrain is bulletproof if you do regular maintenance. Rust is the problem though. Protective shields over the exhaust systems are rusted out. No matter how careful I am by washing undercarriage during the winter, the undercarriage still look like a rust bucket. I had to finally put fuildfilm on it to slow down the rusting process. Other than that, the car (with 140k miles) still drive like new! Edits: Wheel bearings ar e the week points. Could be caused by the potholes here though;)

Got a 2009 G37Xs Sedan. More than 163k miles racked up here in Canada. Bought it 3 years ago from auction for $2800 at 120k miles. I don't believe its ever had the gallery gaskets replaced, but it doesnt burn any oil and i still drive it like I stole it. Changing fluids, rust proofing and letting the car warm up b4 driving seems to be key in helping them stay reliable.

These cars are very reliable should take you over 200k easily! But with the gallery gasket you won’t know until you do an oil pressure test. To be honest your around the mileage to do the water pump, timing chain and gallery gasket service. I would check it out just to make sure. Thanks for watching bro 💯💯

@@CarAdventuresWithReg I installed an oil pressure gauge. honestly, its been a mixed bag with other owners around me. About 10 of us have G37's around this vintage (pre 2012) with some exceeding 400k's (250k miles), needing neither of those things. Another 2 guys went in for the Gallery Gasket service. And the gaskets were fine (they were stuck on epoxy tight). I genuinely believe in keeping clean fluids and regular maintenance... A timing chain, water pump and gasket service shouldn't need to be done on these vehicles until the actual warning signs are there

It’s the galley gaskets you gotta look out for on these cars, it’s hit or miss, some people will be bone stock and blow their motors at low mileage, others will be at 200k, shooting flames and ripping in the daily with no issues

Those were fixed after 2012 or 2013 I think, so if you have 3.7 q50 like I do then those are no problem.

My 2010 i have 178K miles and still running lovely. I had to change some parts, wheels bearings.... my rack & pinion because a huge rock bent my stock one... etc. But car is running good. So far happy with it.

I have 2012 G37x bought it in 2014 with 13k on it I have over 130k on it now. Still runs like new. Regular maintenance. I changed timing belt twice. Hub bearings. 100k tune up.

i got an INFINI-THIEF 2009 FX35, it is the same engine as the G's. IT HAS over 200' thou and still runs like a charm. I did nothing much to it but drive. My biggest issue WAS THE DIFFERENTIAL BUSHING. THE THIEVES WANTED OVER $3000 TO replace it. THAT WHY I MADE UP THIS NAME FOR THEM. A bushing cost LESS THAN $100.00. The INFINIT-THIEF did NOT RIP ME OFF though. I DID MY RESEARCH AND REPLACE this diff. bushing for less than $450. AND THIS SUV.. I AM CERTAIN WILL last another 1001thou. Just do your OIL CHANGES AND ALL OTHER FLUID CHANGE in due time. That what i did. This is a great running engine. USE PREMIUM GAS ONLY too, and change air filter etc. etc.

Surprised that the gallery gasket in your 11 held up well. Unless if that was fixed when you said something in your video at 50k cuz that’s when mine was starting to go but I replaced it for preventative maintenance for $1200 with new eps tuning gaskets, oem water pump and coolant and oil etc.

@@tleoipl37 I work at Infiniti and our dealership charges 6 hours of labor for that job. It’s not hard at all. Comes out to about $1080. $300 is more than us techs would make on that job anyways. Dealership gets like 95% of the money we make from the job. My buddy there has been working there for 18 years and can do that job in a couple hours easy…

Biggest thing that kill these cars before 200k is when you tune them i know alot of people with vqde especially blow up or rodnock at 120k-150k they will burn 2qts in 5k miles with a tune

Got my 2012 g37 sedan with 59k had it for 3 years i put 111k on it its got 170k all ive done was brakes and oil changes consumes like a 3/4 to qt every 3kish miles so not bad when ive beating the fuck out it since ive gotten it althought my cousin had 08 g35 sedan and they are garbage only buy 2010 up g37
