Great one! Could try diving down from high altitude and dropping it high up maybe, but you wont be able to see the enemy but I feel as if its glide path will be more consistent and stait when diving strait down. That would be cool.

Come in straight, you cant yaw because it will follow the line of momentum. At around 500 yards distance and at a 45 degree approach angle; aim in 3rd person and put the target in the center of the reticle and a bit low.

Niccaman I think you're pulling up before the bomb is actually released and that's making a deviation in the flight path. Maybe line up a target from slightly longer distance. That way you can get your shot off and don't have to worry about crashing and anti air. Try that out let me know if it works

First off, you’re waaaay better at flying than I am in this game and I’m sure you’ve figured out how this works by now, but For what it’s worth, I think you’re overthinking it. It’s a glide bomb. It glides towards the target. You need to define the glide profile for it to work as intended. From a distance, fly towards your target as if you are going to crash right on it. At an altitude of your choice, release the bomb while you keep your aim on target. Once you click to release it, It follows your flight path at the time you clicked. While you break away, that bomb will be flying a perfect glide profile towards your target. What you are doing is you’re getting too close to the target and aiming slightly beyond it as you release the bomb. This bomb has wings - make use of them. Try predicting movement of target and release the bomb at a higher altitude and see how that works for you. I really enjoy these vids man, cheers!

The "funny" look on the propeller when you use the supercharger is actually a contrail like form at aircraft's wingtips during high-speed turns. There are several pretty well-circulated pictures of Corsairs doing this (can't rightly recall other aircraft doing it as often, though I'm sure they do) on carrier decks. The basic physics is that the propeller tip is going nearly at or past the speed of sound, this results in the air around it going through a massive and rapid pressure increase, causing condensation at a finite point. This is of course easier to accomplish the higher the humidity, hence the contrails at more-or-less sea level on carrier decks.

A tip for aiming the guide bomb is to line yourself up to shoot at infantry with your main guns. Instead of using your main guns first and dropping your bomb as your are about to pull up, the opposite is true. Dropping the bomb from the start of the the dive using your cross-hair to aim, gives you a much more accurate drop. The closer you can get to a vertical dive, the better the results. Hi Nicca. I've tested that bomb quite a bit. If you use 3rd person, and dive from pretty high at about 45-60 deg angle, then line up the top of your rudder with your target, you'll hit that spot. I find it useful for stand off bombing to avoid the fleeger-noober, but totally useless at hitting anything that moves, due to the high drop point. So if you have a stationary weap or tank that's camping, you can hit it consistently from far off.

The way to used a glidebomb is like a torpedo by using your plane to glide thr bomb to its target. But of course it'll glide straight for only a while before losing speed.

It seems to be used like the War Thunder Torpedo bombs. 1. Line up your target. 2. level out your plane. 3. Reduce sway as much as possible (do NOT touch the rudder). 4. Drop torpedo when in comfortable range of target. / You proved that the Glide Bomb flies straight for a short distance before dipping down, maybe treat it like a Stuka Dive Bomber, steep dive and drop the bomb in the distance that the bomb glides straight.

The bomb always flies in a straight line compared to your screen so its hard to use because the reticle is off centre due to your plane not being properly aligned comming out of a turn.

I found staying on target for about 2 seconds then releasing was effective it will not kill a tank with full health 81 damage max I think but its good for infantry and damaged tanks and especially stationary weapons

I’d imagine that using this to target large entrances and caves and the like without having to get too close would be the ticket. Like the cave entrance on Iwo Jima, since this variant of the Corsair doesn’t have much in the way of splash explosives otherwise so this could help ground forces flush infantry out of buildings and such.

the glide bomb is pretty easy to use. when you are in your dive. say towards a tank. once you got the distancing down you can drop it and be already on your way back to resupply before it hits. use the gunner sights for aiming just like you would the machine guns

The glide bomb is super good at avoiding fligerfaust fire while also harassing ground troops. Go to max height, aim at target, release glide bomb, pull away and go deal with enemy planes. In like 30 secs you'll get a few kills. Its great for hitting the A objective on Pacific Storm breakthrough because all of the enemies tend to bunch up around that bunker facing american spawn and the trenches beside it. It works how a gliding object would in real life, the steeper the angle and higher the speed you release it at, the faster the bomb travels and the straighter it flies. It launches at a downward angle though, so you'll need to aim a bit right as it will start to fly downwards the farther it travels, theres also a slight delay from he time you press the button to release the bomb, and to when it actually releases meaning if you press the button and start to pull away right away your bomb is gonna sail miles off course.

Equipping the extra propeller for either bombers on the Americans or Japanese gives you an advantage in dog fighting. You climb higher than the enemy and when both of you stall out, you gain the advantage when because you'll be behind them.

From what I learned in the movie Battle of Midway, you are supposed to dive bomb to be a good bomber. Get as perpendicular as you can and drop the bomb and then pull up. The Japanese said that glide bombing is how they knew some pilots were amateurs. Also, practice using those lines on your site from different distances and use the same speed to keep all the data accurate.

Third person view has a glide bomb target reticle that looks like a divided letter “H”. If you fly straight it will land on target. If you’re side slipping left you’ll need to put the reticle over to the right a little bit. Having said that, my flying skills are weak, so thank you for the videos.

Its easier to aim in 3 person because the bomb always flies in a straight line from the centre of your screen so drifting is less of an issue

Historically, the German and early US glide bombs were remote controlled. Later, the US developed guided glide bombs, two of which, the “pelican” and it’s successor “bat” look the closest to what’s in the game. The Pelican used semi-active radar homing, and the Bat used active radar homing. They were particularly successful in anti-ship warfare. While the PB4Y Privateer was the most common delivery aircraft, the Corsair, Helldiver, and Avenger were also used. I am wondering if they will be adding the guidance to the game later, or if they nixed it in the name of balancing.

"STATIONARY HIT 1" I've given the glide bomb hours & hours of practice. I've had maybe 1 or 2 decent games with it. But for the most part I was hitting AA for 1 hit which is really annoying. Most I have ever gotten was a few triples. It's cool but not as reliable as the 2 anti armor rockets which can even get you double kills on infantry. Rockets for me. Loving the super charger as well 👌

Supercharger allows faster turns cuz the boost forces fuel into the engine. N/A carbs are subject to centrifugal forces causing fuel cutouts

I have had a little look in history. It's design is for piercing ship decks I imagine it's not designed for pin point accuracy but you may find the game allows for that not sure later models from Germany and America could be guided from the plane to a target maybe there is something you missed The German solution was the development of a number of glide bombs employing radio control guidance. One was created by fitting a control package on the rear of an otherwise standard bomb, starting with their 100 kg armor-piercing bomb to create the Ruhrstahl SD 1400, commonly referred to as Fritz-X. This weapon was designed specifically to pierce the deck armor of heavy cruisers and battleships. The bomb aimer dropped the bomb from high altitude while the aircraft was still approaching the ship, and guided it to impact with the target by sending commands to spoilers attached to its rear. This proved to be difficult to do, because as the bomb dropped toward the target it fell further behind the launch aircraft, eventually becoming difficult to see. This problem was solved by having the launch aircraft slow down and enter a climb to avoid overtaking the bomb as it fell.

You aim in the third person and it is very accurate but you need to dive bomb with it. Use the reticle to aim and drop. It is basically a slow moving rocket. Those aimed up guns on the Zero are pointless though. Please show us how to use those!

it basically a large missile, so you just attack from a high angle and far distance, aim at the target and it will fly towards it, the problem is that usually by the time it arrived the target usually move away, especially tanks.
