Can You Go Off-Grid With a Tesla Powerwall?

Sadly just learned my Enphase PV system is not compatible with the PW3, so I will be going with two PW2s now and see if I need to add more in the future. The PW3 doesn't play nice with Enphase micro-inverters, at least the unit they are selling today. But the PW2s are cheaper and still pack a punch. We OVERSIZED our PV system (by 25% the max my utility would allow) to accommodate future ESS.

Being able to recharge battery during the day and staying off grid for long periods works well in summer, much more limited during winter or overcast months

What about home air conditioning? I don’t see how you can use only 12kWh / day.

Rumors going around Power Wall 3's are coming soon. Any thoughts? Tesla scaled my system at 12.9 kWh with 2 PW's. We live in a 1700 sq ft 2 bed/2 bath high efficient villa in southern IL and own a Tesla MY. My average electric bill is $121/mo and consume about 850 kWh per month. So I figure I could easily do the same.

You have a way too big solar and battery system for your usage. You only dropped the charge level by 15% overnight, you really don't need 2 Powerwalls.

Can you completely get disconnected from grid ..? I mean remove the grid wires . Are there any legal consideration..?

I believe your home would get "red tagged" if you discontinue utility power
