I think the main hint for Iceland was that there was some (limited) agriculture there. Pretty sure that neither Svalbard, Greenland, nor the northern tip of Canada has any agriculture.

I like the addition of info and pictures of the locs but the photos of the castles were too small. I would love to see what the actual street view coverage looks like too, I think it could help us for recognizing places in the game for the future

did not expect to see my hometown graz but it was a nice surprise! 😂 the big roundabout is massive for us (we usually only have one lane ones) and its right next to the highway and you can go many directions from there (towards italy, slovenia, germany) and also two different directions in graz. it also has a bunch of traffic lights every few meters. it says graz so often so you take the right lanes since its a bit confusing and you dont wanna accidentally drive on the highway when you dont have the vignette. its also relatively new i think they finished building it in 2018 ish. i heard many people say its nightmare inducing when you have never driven it or dont drive it regularly. graz is a very pretty place you should come visit one day! we house the largest preserved historic armoury and generally have a bunch of castles in austria. a nice one somewhat close to graz is “Riegersburg” and near there is the Zotter Chocolate Factory that people can visit and taste test throughout

in comparison to some of the awful fucking intersections in the us, i would take that roundabout over a 5/6 way intersection lol

@@Crazyclay78YT i get that! i love roundabouts haha. this one also isnt that bad when you know it well or have general experience with multi lane roundabouts! i think their solution with multiple traffic lights within the roundabout and writing on every lane where you will get to with that lane also really helps :)

I LOVE the extra info. Usually I go and Google these things myself when I watch these kind of videos, now I don't have to anymore :) Thanks a lot!

Bannerman castle is sometimes open to tours and a photographer hot spot. And a neat sight on train travel to Grand Central. Stewart Airport was an Air Force base through the 1960s which is why there is such a sizable airport for a city of that size. Now it provides a good alternative to the busy NYC airports. Fun to see my part of the world pop up in one of your videos. And yes, a shame they didn't give you a glimpse of Manhatten to make it easier.

These were some of my best satellite games so far! R1: 5,000pts - Recognized Rio de Janeiro quickly from previous satellite view videos. R2: 5,000pts - Figured out it was USA quickly from the sun direction and gridlike roads. I guessed it was somewhere in Pennsylvania/New York area based on the look of the vegetation. Scanned for a large north-south river in northeastern US until I found it. R3: 5,000pts - Instantly recognized Istanbul from previous satellite videos. R4: 5,000pts - It looked like Europe, which made sense with the driving side and sun direction. I noticed a lot of dark roofs and some hills. I thought maybe Norway, but I saw no long dashes on the roads. Eventually, I figured that Germany could work and scanned the major rivers until I found the distinct shape in this round. R5: 5,000pts - Saw the snow-capped mountains and the general coldness of it all, combined with the sun direction and driving side and guessed that Iceland made sense, especially considering what looked like ocean to the north and west. Eventually found it after scanning the northern coast. Total: 25,000 pts R1: 5,000pts - The round looked very European with the roof colours and building layouts. I saw that it was a very North-South running city with a river running through the center and that there were hills around the city. After scanning through a bunch of countries (starting with North Macedonian and working my way up), I got to Austria and found Graz aligned. R2: 3,904pts - I thought the round looked similar to the previous round but it was a much smaller city. I noticed the mountains, a small river, and a road to the north with a railway along side it. I ended up scanning Austria, Switzerland, and Southern Germany, but couldn't find it in time. I ended up guessing in western Austria near Au. R3: 5,000pts - Malta was super recognizable by shape alone. R4: 5,000pts - Felt like the US with the building layouts. I ended up scanning the East Coast for a very wide river that matched in shape since it felt like the river was close to the sea, eventually finding it. R5: 5,000pts - Noticed how dry and mountainous the round was, combined with the ocean to the south. At first I checked Peru since Lima is somewhat similar in shape but in the wrong direction. Then thought maybe Canaries, then Palma, eventually checking the southern coast of Spain. Total: 23,904 pts Also, I loved the info panel!

For the 2nd round in New York, my first thought was "Three Mile Island" in Pennsylvania. Not a fort exactly, but definitely an interesting island in a river :)

In the US, when a river is dammed and the lake behind it fills in, you get all those jagged areas we call them Coves.

I have the Unity script installed on Firefox. I can see the blue and yellow box and access all the drop-down menus but it just doesn't seem to work. Selecting 'satellite' from the menu doesn't seem to do anything and if I refresh the setting is turned off again. Can someone tell me what I'm doing wrong?
