I have begun to get bored of resin stuff it seems a good few of you tubers spend a lot of time advertising this gadget or that on every single video they make, but not you, you get on and do the fun stuff, Thank you for being you, Steve. your owl would look great on the front of a book

Right? One of Steve’s videos gave me ‘faith’ to try mica powder on a dragon mold. My first experiment turned out beautiful. I can’t wait to try more of his ideas. 😊

I haven't seen a Round Tuit since about the 90's! Wow! Blast from the past! 🎶Just a walking down memory lane!! 🎶

Really past. I was given my first Round Tuit by my uncle back in the ‘50’s. They weren’t new then. Though the words were usually printed on a wooden nickel.

My hubby thinks I am nuts! I laughed so hard when you ‘set’ the little cup in your holder and it fell thru 😅😂😅😂 Thanks Steve!😊

The owl is awesome!! It would be interesting to see more contract between the 2 colors. Seems like the corn statch makes an interesting effect.

That was really interesting. I really like how the owl turned out, too. I love owls!

That is such a cool effect! Instead of corn starch glue might thicken the stain up nicely.

Hi Steve, I’ve seen so many KZbin videos on Resin 2-part and UV and I’ve been using UV resin for about 5 years now but my first experience was using directions for UV resin but I had a 2-part kit and I didn’t know that there was a difference between the two bottles I got with the kit, I just thought I had two bottles of stuff to work with, it was a terrible experience. Plus I got it all over my hands. So I had very bad chemical burn as well. Needless to say, it took me 5 years before I decided it’s time for me to try 2-part epoxy again, but I’ve watched about 100 videos on it and I know I am ready. Except for tonight I learned one thing from your 5 mistakes video that I bet I might have missed if it weren’t for you, the thing about volume versus weight when measuring out each part, don’t just assume because it’s 1:1 that it’s going to be the same in both cups or however you pour it out. Anyway my real question is about clean up. I know how to clean up UV. But how do I clean-up epoxy? It’s so dangerous, it can’t be touched, it’s flammable, right? So you can’t just throw it in the trash can. And what about wiping down the table? Do you have to go over the surface with alcohol or wait for everything to dry or cure however long the curing time is? How many of the mixing implements are going to be tossed? If you are using silicone cups, do you simply wait for the stuff to cure and pop it out like I do by putting my cups under uv light and then popping the resin out. Would you please just do just do a video on all possible cleanup methods you can think of. Time-savers and recycling methods? For instance, all the stuff in my cups I peel out and store in a bag and I use them all the time for MANY things. Thanks, Ps I think I am your newest member!

I saw on Dan Cooper’s site, he used clear glue just a couple drops to thicken the resin
@SteveMcDonaldArtsandCraftsАй бұрын
Great idea.

I had used too much black ink in my resin and it came out all sticky but thankfully I saved my art by adding a thinner layer of clear over it and it hardened to perfection, hiding/burying the sticky layer. I was worried I'd have to throw out the piece but thankfully, it all worked out.

What do you think about doing the same to resincrete?

I am literally just trying to make something lol.....love watching your videos! You make me brave 😂 but I have a question... why do my baby wipes leave lint all over my molds? ❤
@auntlizzy1308Ай бұрын
Corn starch really doesn’t “thicken” until heated, like in broth to make gravy.

Hello Steve I’ve been watching you for so so long and I love your videos, I’m part of a group on Facebook and they posted a picture of the round tuit mold and asked how they could get one I know you got it off your member but is there a way it can be recreated so people can buy them
@jenniferdougdebnar2286Ай бұрын
I'm wondering if it would stick to the mold if you sprayed the mold with hair spray!?

I grew up with wooden nickels. I would like to find one . We gave our dad a round to it as a joke because he would tell mom I'll get around to it .
@Nrscathy60Ай бұрын
The stain, or dye, is oil and alcohol based. Be careful not to ignite the piece with the lighter.😢
