Can You Guess Which Brand This 2-Man Tent Belongs To?

They seem to have changed this tent somewhat since your excellent review. As a disclaimer though this is my first ever backpacking tent and I've only tested it in my parents' back garden so far (I live in a flat) so I may have missed a couple of things. Improvements: They are currently £76.99 for the pro version (which is £13 less than I paid six weeks ago, GRRR!) The current colours are "Khaki" and "Army Green" which I chose. It's a dark green that will blend into the scenery much better than your mid to lime green version! The two long poles are now permanently connected together with a wizzy little gizmo. The straps/bungees for keeping the outer and inner doors open are much better placed so you have a bigger opening when they are folded back. The guy out attachments are no longer on the poles, but are sewn into the tent with brilliant little pockets for stowing the guylines in when dismantling and packing the tent. Not so good: The air vents are now permanently open. No option to close them. The HH value claimed for the fly is now 3000 rather than 5000, nothing stated for the bathtub. No footprint is provided. They provide ten tent pegs (as stated on Amazon). To peg out the tent and all four guylines you need twelve. Mine with poles, pegs, tent and bag weighed 2.564kg, not 2kg. However, I'm a stout lad and will be carrying rather a large beer belly so half a kilo doesn't bother me! Summary: For my first ever "backpacking tent", and for under a hundred quid I was amazed at the quality of the tent and fixtures and fittings. It took three or four minutes to erect the first time and similar to dismantle it and pack it away. With practise I reckon I'll get it down to a minute or so. I'm 5' 11" and had loads of room inside. It was a dry but very misty night so the fly was wet inside and out, but not a drop got into the inner. When fettled and adjusted the inner is as tight as a drum and uniformly two to three inches from the outer. The two door system is similar to a current extremely fashionable tent at four or five times the price, in that the doors are diagonally symmetrical so if the wind changes, close one door and open the other instead. Sorry, didn't think this was going to be so long! Next stop Dartmoor on my first ever solo wild camp!

This is exactly the same design as the 3FULGear Taiji 2. But my Taiji 2 has a proper solid 4 season inner, the mesh inner for the Taiji is sold as a the 3 season version.

I was just away to say the same! Looks just like a rebranded taji 2. Not got a taji 2 yet, but it's on my list with the 4 season inner. Have another couple of 3ful gear tents, they're good for the money.

What a great tent, I'll certainly have a closer look when my grandson is up to coming camping with me but I think that it would be fine for one person as long as you aren't going up and down steep hills all day.

It is the taiji 2 night cat have the license to use the 3f ul tents same as they do the lanshan1 and put their logo on it, which is definitely a huge improvement now 👍👍👌

NightCat do a 1 man tent called a Lander1. It uses a walking pole as its 1 pole. And best of all it only weighs around 760 grams. Sound like exactly what you need Dan. I bought the Hiero Stove last week on your recommendation. I tested it indoors using 400ml of water. It took 1.38 minutes to boil. It's like a mighty firestorm when it first starts, lol. I learned pretty damned quick to turn it on very low to start, lol. I live in Huddersfield by the way.

That's exactly what i was thinking as i've been on look out for a new tent that can be used in colder weather yet they have so much mesh so can't keep the heat in, looks like i'll be sticking with my mountain equipment one for a while longer, although it's a bit heavier it packs smaller that one in this video

​@Steven Ward I have a Forceatt 3 person tent, it's almost the same thing, & I bought 2 Lyn emergency blankets, they're really strong & thick, even come with tent pegs, & reinforced brass rings to either tie down or stake, I use 1 on the inside & 1 over the tent, & it's rain fly, works better turn my 4 season tent, & only 5lbs for a large 3 person, it's a win-win!!!

This tent is for three seasons. As long as it is not tens of degrees below zero in winter, it can be used normally with sleeping pads and sleeping bags.

I have a vango sabre 200 that pitches the same, I also have a lichfield hornet 2,that pitches flysheet first,unfortunately its dry weather use only now as the sewn in groundsheet has dried out, and is patchy, the fly is sound, and would make quite a good stealth tent,its a 3 hoop tunnel, had it years and actually stealth camped in windermere at the back of a football pitch, in the 80s lol

So I'm a bit confused. While the fly seems to pitch nice and tight, I worry about guying out from the poles. Some reviews are showing sewn on "wings" for lack of a better word, on the fly. They guy lines go from the wings. Is this an older version of the tent? Also; you indicate the waterproof rating is 8000 mm for the floor and 5000mm for the fly.. The manufacturer only claims 3000. Which is it? Lastly, do the vents in the fly use mesh to keep bugs out? Thanks for the review.

Dude check out the MSR Elixir 1 man tent. It's the dark green you want but for a 1 man there is so so much space. About the size of a 2 man. Sleeping compartment will fit 1 but the storage area fits another 2 men. I think I'm in love with it. Brilliant episode brother

This tent seems completely different from what I'm seeing on Amazon. The guide ropes on the frame whereas they are on the material on Amazon, the door bungee tie out is good and the logo is better on this. Is this tent not being sold anymore. I noticed you said it was 200 but on Amazon they are around 75.... I'm so confused but I like this one.

You put the guy lines on wrong. The line locks (the triangle things) are meant to be at the other end so you can tension the guys without adjusting the peg

A two person tent is a one person plus gear , people take more gear these days with stuff being lighter and thinner. They pack more gadgets , maybe a dog , but yeah DONT leave any gear in vestibules , bring it inside , i dont share a tent , not because in a tight ass , but you want room to change , i always keep my pack inside ,
