Hello Flow Family! I'm looking at the hives down the hill behind Cedar. Are you now experimenting with triple-box configurations? I definitely like the new Bee-Shelter you've added. Thanks for all you do. The inspection caddy was my grandson's wish for the holidays last winter. :) He loves it.

I am a brand new beekeeper and have just extracted all the honey in my flow hive, I am in south East QLD. It is quite rainy weather now and I'm concerned that I've taken all he honey leaving nothing for the bees. Before harvesting I sore loads of bees coming back with pollen to the hive, but since harvesting I have not seen any bees bringing in pollen in. Just wandering if the is normal during rainy weather or if I should be concerned? And if there's anything I can do to remedy this now? I'm learning as I go so constructive feedback would be much appreciated 🙂

To I, never remove all the honey, that is don't drain all the frames at the same time. flow is up and down like the weather, rain washes nectar and pollen off the flowers. Hence the Bees need backup food to keep going. The to do is to watch the how to videos' and think about what you need to survive, FOOD. I wish you learners would listen to what is being said to you rather than play dumb.

Hi guys, my colony is new and the brood box frames is currently 70% full. Should I have the entrance reducer on or off? I'm in Melbourne VIC.

I'm in Melbourne, not enough info for me to say too much. I'm Patterson Lakes so Sth Mlb, Where are you? It is not the entrance reducer you should be looking at but the "Flow Hive" Honey Super. Wax coat your flow frames and put them on top of your brood box. To me it sounds like you have almost enough bees to start your Flow Hive production if started right.
