I used to drink in the Albert when I was a teenager, and it was an old Victorian pub. I haven't lived in Huddersfield since 1974, so that gives my age away. The landlord knew me and my mates were underage, but we behaved, so he kept quiet.

My brother-in-law used to own the rat and ratchet sold out to Ossett Brewery. made a killing, I’ve been built it up the weather is today. He had a microbrewery in the cellar brewing something called deaths head. Great video buddy

Loved this video. Recently moved to the Holme Valley - so make regular trips into Hudds. Glad you made it to the Grove (I was afraid you would miss it). Appreciate you were on a schedule, but you missed The Star - a gem of a pub 2mins from the Rat. If you ever come back, maybe miss the Spoons and Craft Unions? Wise not to walk out to the Magic Rock. Great place, but I would say 10mins from the station is a bit on the optimistic side.
