Can you have a good night out in... Louth?

After our escapades in Grimsby on the previous evening, we took the short trip down the road to the small market town of Louth where Holly and myself took on 20 of the town's pubs! A great little town this is!!

Hi great video. I was born in Louth and when I was at school i did a project on the pubs in Louth, still have it somewhere 😅. Years ago there was 52 pubs in Louth, yes you could go in a different pub every week of the year and not go in the same one twice 😮

The millers daughter was the busiest pub back in the day i grew up there and moved away in 07 alsorts of crazyness went on in there 😂

Pity you missed The Brown Cow (just along the road from The Boars Head) is a great free house, Woolpack at the Riverhead well known for food and I think the only Batemans pub in town plus nearby is The Gaslamp, another fabulous micro-brewery that still burns a few gas lights, hence the name! There's a 4th micro brewery too called Munyard...

Great vid mate. As a Yellowbelly myself, I always thought of Louth as a place just for foodies. Never realised there were so many great pubs! My eyes have been opened! 😅

I'd have thought so. Its population is 17000 and there are 3 Ratebeer recommendations. So it's not outstanding but still pretty good.

@@thegreatbritishpubcrawl I've always liked Bateman's Ales. They're proper oldskool English beers and if I'm about that area I will drink them enthusiastically. That's part of the joy of travelling around our country; trying local delicious beers. I'm sure you both concur. To me it's showing respect for the place you're visiting that you sample and support local produce and businesses rather than multinationals.

We didn't 'miss them' - we trawled around everything that was a sensible walking distance in the pouring rain... we never 'miss' (God, I hate that word haha) anything... and always make return visits to everywhere we go
