Used to live in Stourbridge in the late 80's right opposite the Plough and Harrow. Within a half mile radius there were 35-40 pubs. Great town and you're right, the Talbot Hotel was a lovely place then. Once again a great video.

If you like your indie music, The Mitre used to be one of the favourite drinking holes of the Stourbridge Scene back in the day aka Pop Will Eat Itself, Wonderstuff & Neds Atomic Dustbin

The first building you mentioned opposite the hop vault is the town hall. The second building is the King Edward VI College. I said hello to you in the Red House. Glad you enjoyed.

Awesome upload, so many other places around stourbridge. Camera quality is the only thing letting it down. Otherwise fantastic.

Shame you missed The Crown as it's nice. Part 2 definitely has to be Enville Street/Wollaston and Wordsley. 2 Black Country Ales and 3 Bathams pubs between them.

Moved to Wollaston,Stourbridge in June 2023 from Birmingham after 56 years and I'm ashamed to admit I have not even made double figures in different pub visits.Thanks for the tour,will be visiting all at some point.Looking forward to Part 2 ..3....etc

So...the first grand building was the town hall, the second was King Eds college. Plant went to the college and has played the town hall. Great vid and glad you liked the Wagon and Osses.

Robert plants local is the queens head in Wolverley just outside of kidderminster ,he even played for the pub football team his son started a little brewery

Spent most of my misspent youth in the mitre exellent pub ....used to get so pa cked people used to spew out onto the pavement all nite love it .good memories jules mids

Nice video, the building opposite the hop vault is Stourbridge institute social club - at least the top floor is a part of it anyway, the town hall might be connected to it too

Stourbridge town hall opposite the hop vault. They do stage performances etc. mate, cracking review and write up of all the pubs. Glad you enjoyed. Hopefully ill catch you Friday!
