Hi, I am 53, I need to use reading glasses since four years ago. Perfect far-sight. Is there any option to correct my near vision problem to not to use reading glasses?

If you can see distance perfectly at this point, I would not recommend any type of surgery. stay tuned, however, there are other newer technologies that are emerging for your specific case.

I'm 52 with an astigmatism. I use 1 contact in left eye n nothing in other. No cataracts. Would I be a good candidate n how long will it last

It could be, depending on other factors in the eyes. The distance will stay stable until you develop cataracts.

@doctorilancohen my current eye doc says I shouldn't and that I'd still need readers. Just wanted to know should I seek a second opinion and do you have any recommendations as I live in Dallas area

Doctor I have near and far sight issues . I am 54 I had a test for lasik and they told me they can correct the far sight but I have to wear reading glasses because they can not fix it . I am confused .Should I do the operation ??? Thanks in advance
