My first inaudible voice experience was also when I was in my secondary school Just finished a holiday church retreat for teens and children Returned home, knelt and prayed to God, I just told God that I love Him, I Love you, I love you Guess what I heard "if you love me, you will obey my commandment" I knew someone spoke, but I was alone and the voice was loud. I ran out of the room It's actually an awesome experience Beautiful too Our youths should learn to be still instead of immersing themselves in social media Kudos ladies

Well spoken ladies. Dara, I could remember when I just entered Jss 1 and i will cry and pray to God severally that I want to speak in tongues and hear his voice. ( It came naturally). Tolu, I could remember my first time going to the club in 300level for departmental party, I felt Rapture will take place and I won’t make it to heaven. Some people still hear the audible voice though

Only God helped me at that point of tongues. I never wanted to say something I would not be convinced it's from God. I tried but I was expecting to fall down and start speaking 🤣🤣🤣... However, the day i received the baptism of the spirit and spoke in tongues was after i woke suddenly from sleep (I actually slept off praying about it🤣🤣)... and my mind or flesh wasn't active... I just woke up and my mind was blank and boom... i was pouring out tongues. Also, consistency in devotion and communion with the holy spirit strengthens and sharpens every faculty a believer has to hear from God. Very powerful topic of discussion. May the lord give unto you all more grace in Jesus Name. Thanks for blessing the body of Christ.

Hello TED It nice always hearing from you this topic I really hard interest in because it has been a challenge to me till today In the cause of the interaction Tolu made a point from quite Time and personal devotion From my own point of view I think these are to different things QUITE TIME I think this I a Time were we communicate with God personally early in the morning (that is the first thing we do when we wake up personally) DEVOTION I think this is a personal,group,or family time to seek,pray, or study the word of God now this Time could be any time of the day at all, and the duration squally depends on your and the holy sprit. And in this Tim that I were you have people saying stuff like I hard my character study, book study, personal retreat e.t.c I think all these falls under devotion. Making quite Time and devotion very different I stand to be corrected TED

You can get a good devotional like spirit meat on spiritmeat.net that will guide u daily. Or u can also choose a book of the Bible like John and study 1 or two chapters daily and write down your daily lessons. God bless you

Just a quick question, what is the difference between quiet time and morning devotion-: is it not the same thing, like i do my hour of power prayer and word study maybe at night and in the morning i read my daily devotional and take time to just be quiet before the LORD...doesn't that equal quiet time? Or even merely being quiet before the LORD soon after my prayer time?

Hi ladies. Lovely message. I agree with you Dara. The audible voice still exists. I had a similar experience to yours Dara wrt hearing the audible voice. I heard an audible voice asking me to pray. I woke up and started praying. I slept off again and unfortunately fell to the floor from the top bunk and sustained a chin injury. It healed but I have the scar to date. It's very important that we listen to God when He speaks to us.

Yeah! You're right. I also experienced this. I was expecting the spectacular to happen for me to speak in tongue eventhough I had been under several impartations for several years (althrough my secondary school days). I broke out of these in many first year in the University in a conference meeting when the minister said the word is right in your mouth and I spoke by faith. Since then, wow! It's been awesome praying in the spirit. My experience is like that of Paul that said he prayed in tongue more than in understanding. God bless the triplets. Your ministrations have always been enlightening my understanding about my Christian lifestyle and confirming my stand with God. More grace to you all.

My question is, I believe that quite time is a time spent with you and God alone (asides the other things that you do) but when you are married and now most of your time is probably with your husband and when your husband isn’t there it will probably be during the day were there are distractions everywhere. So, how would you achieve a successful quiet time. Can you have it with your husband or is it really something that you alone need to do to strengthen your PERSONAL relationship with God. Thanks

Thank God for the talk,God bless you ladies. I'm a married woman and by God's grace I hope you will blessed by my points. Everybody whether married or not needs to do their quiet time,it's a relationship with God,it shouldn't be seen as a task or to do list. There is a place for couple's devotion and personal devotion. As a married woman especially when you are newly wed,there is this temptation of trying to relax and leaning too much on our husband. Though,it may be difficult but there is a need to carve out time for your own personal time with your first love. In fact there are things the Almighty God will reveal unto you during this time that when you share with your husband,it may further confirm what he has received or drives him to his knees. Dear sister,your own personal altar is a place for renewal of strength,restoration teaching,I call it private tutorial with the holy spirit.A time of dining with my king. If you cultivate this habit of personal alone with God,your children and generations yet unborn will bless you most especially when you now keep a journal or note of your daily walk with God that you can refer to later in life. It will help your relationship with your husband.There are seasons in marriage....may the LORD grant us wisdom. It also helps you to open your mouth in wisdom.....I can go on and on It's not easy to carve out that time but with the help of the holy spirit and willingness you can. It takes saying NO to some things and rising up early. You can go through this bible passages Luke 10:41-42: Proverbs 31:15(The meat here is not only physical,meat of the word of God) Romans 12:1,2. Rebekah , this was an issue for me also initially. But I think what helped me more was that I understand the importance and I wasn’t going to give up ( persistency is key). Sometimes, I will be so tired and slept off after few minutes. But I will wake up and remember the verse, Psalm 139:18b that says, when I wake up, I'm still with you. Then I will continue again. Sometimes up to three or more times of waking and sleeping. But as time goes by, it started getting better and better. Like being said already, it's your place of renewal of strength and receiving grace. Without it everything else will fall apart. It's all worth it when you don't give up on your personal time with God.

By consistency, do you mean praying or being in God's presence at a specific time in the day, everyday (e.g 7-8am everyday) or is it consistency in the number of minutes/ hours you spend in His presence (e.g 30 minutes everyday) or do you mean a specific time of the day you choose (e.g in the mornings, afternoons or nights)? Love the talk about carrying God through the day with you. My day is very busy from working nights, taking care of the children and hubs. Sometimes, I find it hard communicating to my lord through those busy hours. But I'm always talking silently to him throught the day.He talks to me when I sleep. An important point Tolu made : don't put God in a box. We should never preempt God. The bible says he can do exceedingly abundantly above all we could ever ask or think. So we need to always open up our hearts when we're in God's presence and let him have his way.
