I won't deny that its really difficult. Extremely difficult. Especially when you've waited, prayed, being in an almost 1 year relationship with who you thought was God's will for you, you're aging, yet he breaks up with you leaving your heart shattered in tiny pieces. Even when you were so committed to maintaining God's standards throughout the relationship. I don't know where or how to start. Everyone else who you know compromised have their families. I know I should have asked God every step of the way if He still wanted me to proceed, but here I am here really hurting . I believe all things will work for my good. I simply ask God to heal me thoroughly. Thank you for this timely piece.

I am 16yrs and I love to watch True Talk with TED because I believe it prepares me for the future. I know that having a healthy relationship with God balls down to creating enough time for Him. Especially in this time of lockdown, where I need to fill up and enlargen my capacity for the things that lay ahead. So, how do I create time to dwell in my secret place now that I am at home and even when I go back to school (boarding house) because it could really be distressing that I loose track by the reason of not fellowshipping with God constantly. I just will however like to say that Jesus' would never have been a Son of Saul because Saul was from the tribe of Benjamin but it has already been prophesied in Genesis that Jesus will come from the lineage of Judah. David was from the lineage of Judah. "The scepter will not depart from Judah, nor the ruler's staff from between his feet, until he whom it belongs shall come and the obedience of the nations shall be is" Genesis 49:10. Looking into the nature of king Saul, I could see that he was what called has called him for ie. He(God) was going to choose a king for the people. Before Saul became a king, the people of Israel were complaining that why is it that "they don't have a king like the other nations". This comparison made God choose a king for the people of Israel and not a king after God's Book of Reigns. Meanwhile, God told them He(God) was their King until His own choice of king has been fully prepared but that wasn't enough for them, hence complained to " be like the other nations". So we see that from the first time Saul was exposed to them, he had always pleased their eyes and he wanted to keep that legacy. May God help us to be a person in God's own book(that is enough for me).

Good topic. I think David was always God's choice but Israel could not wait, so God gave them Saul. Personally, this is confirmation #2 about waiting and being patient. Same scripture used in the last episode of the Mount Zion movie, "Forgotten Ones" Lord help us to wait on God's Word and be patient.

CY Tropics, I don’t think David’s was always God’s choice. In fact God doesn’t want the Israelites to have no king like the nations around them, He wanted them to recognize Him alone as their King.1Sam 8. According to Chapter 15, God regretted appointing Saul and then rejected him. Which means he was chosen initially. In fact, If not that Saul started misbehaving there wouldn’t be need to chose David. The Bible makes us to understand that God looked for and found David 1Sam 13:14. ( I believe if David had also misbehaved in like manner like Saul. God would have to look somewhere else. ). So also are we in God’s purpose, there is no favoritism with God, it’s our own responsibility to be in tuned with God in order to remain relevant in His purpose. Rom 2:11-12.

When a born again Christian still dreams of eating, having sexual intercourse, or seeing him/herself in former learning institutions. 1.Does this always mean the individual isn't praying or fasting enough or there is a crack in the wall? 2. Having in mind that as children of God, we already died with Christ and the life we now live is Christ's, should such experiences still be recorded in a Christian's life? 3. you know what i think even if God gives you timing, the pressure of the situation, can provoke someone to act on their behalf and think ''if i do this it can't be that bad....after all i'm doing what he wants''....i used to judge Saul harshly until i realised anyone can be under pressure to do things they in their hearts think is right...but to God they have offended greatly. obedience is better than sacrifice.

Another valid lesson to learn from the scenario is to totally dependent on God. Life of saul had always be characterized with lack of faith. Even If all the soldiers left him God will always make a way to win the battle. He trusted in the arm of flesh. Nice one sisters keep it up
