As a tinnitus sufferer, I hear you. I tried flying with a full helmet with my paramotor thinking it would help deaden the sound… nope, had to get a helmet with muffs.

Where are you located? I’m in Maryland outside of Baltimore. I’ve actually got 2 that I’m working on one is a pretty clean 35, the other one is a little bit of a Franken beast. They put a Hirth into and attempted to do some structural modifications, but I don’t think they are quite sound.

@@charleskyler1928 I'm up in Northern canada, near alaska. I've seen enough results of structural mods to know to stay away. I did an analysis before I started and most members are stressed greater than 50% of their elastic limit so I've limited my changes a lot. I'll do a video tour when I'm done.

Matt, "Flying Eyes Optics" aviator sunglasses are designed to NOT break the seal on circumaural headsets. $300 is definitely cheaper than $1500+

I wear sunglasses with arms as thin as flying eyes. There's still too much sound coming though.

Not sure why all my comments are deleted as soon as I post them here? But here goes for a 3rd time! Aircraft Spruce has a set of ANR headsets that sell for under $300.00. I have a set and they made a huge difference.

Yes I did. It's just a bit of packing tape rolled up into a cone attached to a short piece of yarn. Works great.
