"I got surgery to have more of a Korean aesthetic" This sentence is just wrong. I'm not Korean, but calling a minority group/culture an "aesthetic" is just unacceptable. You can speak the language, live there, and respect the culture, but claiming that you are any other race other than your own because you like the "aesthetic" is not and will never be acceptable, just offensive. I just hope he realizes how much harm he's really causing.

She can keep a straight face...Because she was operating in a delusion of her own. A delusion, she believes in, as strong as, but more delusional, than the one he believed in. What delusion you might ask? Her so called "blacknness" Her "Black" racialized identity. And I think she despised the FACT that he could choose his own "race", racial identity, and cultural affiliation, without anyone's permission. To her this is Proof of so-called "white supremacy/superiority." "White" people's most powerful myth that "Black people" worship religiously. In truth he's not "transracial" because in truth "race" doesn't exist. Race is a reality, constructed from the concept of race. Imposed by a dominant society, from which so-called "black" people can't escape. It's this person's freedom, his ability to alter his reality by choice. Something some people can't imagine actually exist, because their race based reality has no place for that kind of free thinking.

Gender and race is established by your DNA. What is mental is that some people think the first can be changed but not the second. Why, they really can’t give you a good answer. They had it repeated to them over and over about gender that they just believe it. So, we te told that you can’t change your race (it will offend the blacks) but you can change your gender (because nobody cares about offending women-MEN can say they are female and win in WOMEN’S sports, use their bathroom, become Woman Of The Year and praised on National Woman’s Day)

Because gender is a social construct in the sense of masculine and feminine aesthetics, and those who transition can alter their sex in different ways, like how testosterone can increase muscle mass, grow more hair on the body, and lower the voice. So in this sense, transgenderism has more legitimacy than transracial because race isn't just a color but is a heritage. Now here is an example. You have an albino black man, and now you have someone who is intersex. The man who has albinism may still have white skin but is still black in the same sense as an African American because they share the exact ethnic origin. Now you have someone who is intersex. To which, of my understanding, is a hermaphrodite. But a sex change operation could allow someone to become their preferred gender than just having both. In conclusion, race and gender are not the same constructs since race relies on heritage while gender is based on an individual's identity.

I feel like people have a rather hypocritical approach to transracial people. Hear me out hear me out. So you’ll tell a transracial person they can’t change their race because they cannot relate to the struggles and discrimination that this particular race they transitioned to has always faced. But in that case, does a trans woman understand the trauma that people who have been a biological girl all their life have had to face? I was only a little girl when my relatives touched me inappropriately, and as a girl, only I know what I go through every month when I have my periods. And as a girl, I’ve been told I can’t do so many things that guys do, but has a trans woman been through that themselves? In my culture, married women are forced to cover their heads when they interact with other people, has a trans woman had to experience that? Also, if a white girl has been raised by black parents since she was a baby and says she feels like a black person internally because she shared their culture all her life and felt like one of them, could you tell her that she has no idea how it’s like to be black just because her skin colour isn’t black? A trans woman says she has always felt like a woman internally because she has played with dolls all her life and preferred dresses over pants, could you tell her she has no idea how it’s like to be a woman just because she has a penis?

“got surgery to have more of a korean aesthetic” that’s the issue, this is not supposed to be an aesthetic, korean people are living people who have gone through struggles, for you to be able to put this on and even have a chance to take this off when you want is not okay, same thing with every other race, as a black woman i hate when some people try to take that when you don’t know what it’s like to go through racial issues as a non poc it’s so sad to see that he can’t just appreciate the culture and be himself edit: the way i see it, man, woman, non binary, i will always be black. i refuse to say someone is right to take someone else’s culture because they’re defending it with the argument of transgender people. i get it, transgender people (specifically trans women) have a similar thing where they don’t have what cis women have (periods, cramps, birth, etc.) but the culture goes further. id hate for someone to be able to steal my culture then take it off and be done with it when they’re bored or don’t feel like they connect anymore, i cannot change that. in the end, this will not change peoples mind and this type of argument will always be divided

Transgender is influenced by how you live and grown up to be from the environment around you, not using gender as an accessory. Transracial is not influenced by that, it is influenced by the surface understanding of a culture and the pretentious attitude that if you look like that race, you're immediately accepted into that culture.

It’s not the same. Gender dysphoria is real medical disorder, which gives someone a huge distress that gives them a deep depression, anxiety, depersonalization/derealization, suicidal ideation., etc. “Non binary trans” is what is very loud in the transgender community, they simply like to wear makeup and essay opposite sex clothes or like stereotypical female/male things and think that they are trans. Some people suffering from gender dysphoria don’t have a choice but to transition, and that’s why it was always rare to be trans until the medical professionals took away gender dysphoria away as a diagnosis for anyone to be trans or transition.

If there's a case to be made for transgenderism then there is certainly a case to be made for transracialism. Because the genetic differences between a man and a woman are far more pronounced than between races. In fact to my knowledge there aren't any genetic differences between races, only the expression of certain genes. Of course I'm not pro transracialism, I think the idea is quite absurd but if you entertain the idea of transgenderism then you need to also be willing to entertain the idea of transracialism.

@@jenniferpollard591 Actually, it is NOT. Transgender is something to do with your own identity and does not involve changing your biology; however, Transracial has something to do with your own biology. Sure, transgender involves your genitals, but transgender people do not have to "change" their genitals (from surgery or hormone therapy) in order to be trans or identify as another gender. Whilst transracial folks DO change their biology and identify their own biological ethnicity as another RACE. Transgender people do not call themselves cisgender, and instead say they are trans, and they recognise that they are not biologically male or female (or even non-binary for instance). Therefore, Transracial and Transgender are not the same: case closed.
