He’s a conman. There’s nothing to feel “sorry” for but the people his act has increased the stigmatisation of. I knew from the second he appeared in kpop circles he was a liar, and recordings of phone calls made to his ex-girlfriend confirmed it. He views trans people as little more than circus act they do for money, and that by one-upping them with a persona like the “trans racial” one was his chance to ‘stardom’. Even his ‘sudden’ turn towards transphobia is no shock to anyone who’s been paying attention. Anyone that comfortable throwing trans people under the bus + capitalising off of their public perception as “freaks for an audience” was inevitably going to turn their act towards the other end of the profitability spectrum. Next to no one in kpop fandom was supportive of him. This “gender madness” shit he’s taking about was entirely his doing; every trans/trans ally kpop fan who knew about him were extremely critical of his shitty behaviour. Plenty of people have tried to help him over the years (I remember seeing one video where friends of his were imploring him to get help) but the reality is that if someone refuses to seek proper professional help then no amount of others trying to help them will change anything much. This is the first time I’ve heard of Oli and I don’t know whether to pity his serious self esteem issues & body dysmorphia or be suspicious that this is all part of the grift. I looked him up, assuming that he had transitioned some time ago after hearing him refer to his “FFS” but from what he’s shared, it seems that he was only presenting as Trans for 4 months last year. This was super confusing, although I’m mindful that people usually suffer from gender dysphoria for a significant amount of time before they “come out” and begin their social transition, it was strange to me that his whole current shtick, including his music and his book, is all about walking back his short time as a trans woman when it seems he spent many, many years openly “trans racial” and yet he barely seems to mention that. He is also in his mid-30s, as am I, so he clearly wasn’t the victim of any sort of transgender ideology at school; I don’t even recall diverse sexual identities being discussed in schools back in the 90s and early 2000s. I apologise if he was truly felt that he was suffering with gender dysphoria and quickly realised he wasn’t trans after beginning to socially transition (again, it appears from his social media that all of his surgeries pre-dated his time as a Trans woman and were all related to his quest to look like his idol Jimin). But from what he has shared, it seems like he identified as a Trans woman for a short amount of time and as soon as he announced that he was detransitioning, he suddenly had a lot more work doing conservative news media appearances in the US, was making his new music and announced his book pretty much straight away. I’m not saying he is being paid by some shady US entity to briefly pretend he was a Trans woman and then quickly detransitioned to act as some sort of boogie man story in the case against allowing people to transition to a different gender, just that it all seems very rushed, he doesn’t really talk about having gender dysphoria and his thoughts and feelings about why / how he realised he wasn’t Trans aren’t really discussed either. Regardless, he seems very unhappy and like he is constantly searching for new identities to bring him happiness (most recently it appears that he is now Jewish). I hope he finds peace but can’t ignore the harm that this kind of rhetoric brings to people who are actually transgender.

A lot of ignorant people and those who are just liars claim that BL is a cultural norm in Japan and East Asia as a way to claim that their society is progressive but in fact BL only dates back to the 1970s as a genre and historically pederasty was obviously abusive. It was pushed by homosexual Buddhist monks, just as it was pushed by homosexuals in ancient Greece and how they tried to legalise paedophilia in Britain and North American in the 70s and 80s until HIV/AIDS pushed homosexuals back into their closets. (Maybe people should learn the unbiased history of homosexuality). You claimed that no one at school taught about divergent sexualities (as far as you remember) in the 1990s and 2000s. I remember differently. I went to secondary in the mid to late 90s and I remember my English teacher telling us that calling a homosexual a "batty man" (Jamaican patwa to describe someone with a penchant for buggery. To those who BULLY. This is what bullying does to a person. He was not ugly in the first place and yet he was bullied at a young age which changed him, confused him and wanted to be someone or another race. Oli is presently turning back to who God made him to be. He is a new born again. Jesus is helping him back. Being born again Christian does not mean all your flaws disappear straight away. It is a process. So if the person is an addict to drugs as an example... it may take some time to be healed from that addiction. God allows as to go through a process and even when we fall, we must not give up. We continue the process. Some will be immediate deliverance other situations in our life will be a process. Oli said he will marry whoever...but he is going through a process of change and mindset. Born again Christian is not a religion, but a way of life...following the purpose God made for us...in the beginning. The reason a man was created and the woman with specific anatomy. A man and a woman....our purpose on this earth. Oli is born a man. He wants to reset that clock, he is no longer blinded. So people let him be. He seems much happier and God will use him. We all have a purpose. A lot of successful advocates need to go through something in order to educate others. The presenter said Oli is confused. No he is not confused now rather he has woken up from the nightmare as a result of bullying which led him to a path and now thanks to the LIGHT 🚦 OF JESUS. Oli can see and no longer in that confused state of mind. Jesus said caste your burdens onto Him and he will bring peace. When we are burdened just call on Jesus for help. As a process and as Oli grows in his faith he will have greater in sight. Because God will direct his steps. Stay strong and in the faith as a believer Oli. God is using you to bring a change in this wokeness which is forcing an ideology on people and society. If people dont agree then they are put in prison. Is this not from the devil.... Frank-N-Furter is a transgender icon who still identifies as male, but simultaneously defies gender norms by wearing feminine items such as lingerie, makeup, pearls and high heels. 2) On a wall adjacent to the image of Frank-N-Furter, there is an image of a masculine head on the image of the portrait of Mary, Queen of Scots who has been known in history as a feminist icon. 3) He still has cardboard cut out of a kpop boyband member. Thid may seem insignificant, but one would think he would get rid of anything that alludes to his previous identity as a trans racial Korean person who was also a member of the LGBTQA+ community. Hearing him explain his thought process behind his life choices, if he thinks you can "transition to become Korean" he has a fundamental misunderstanding of what it is to be transgender. He is that desperate to keep jumping on whatever bandwagon will keep him revelant and keep the attention on him, that he will stop at nothing, going so far as to make drastic changes to his appearance and identity to keep the spotlight on him. Apparently being a "Korean" trans woman wasn't for him, so now he's trying to do the opposite and be a British masculine man, jumping on the "anti-woke" wagon while he's at it. The way I see it, he appears to have some kind of deep personal identity crisis - at the core he doesn't have a true understanding of who he is, so he keeps jumping between all these different identities and trying to be all these different things to fill some kind of void within him. I definitely understand why so many hate him (and I really dislike what he's done for the image of the "trans" community) but at the same time I kind of feel sorry for him. I can recognise and understand that identity crisis feeling of not knowing who you are and trying on all these different things, desperately trying to find where you fit in the world. I think he needs therapy and to work on finding and accepting himself as who he is, rather than just throwing himself into the next trend that comes around. Acceptance needs to come from the inside, not from changing yourself into whatever's popular right now to try and get accepted by as many people as possible.

I am a gay man and at some point in my life I did want to look like a woman, but instead of spending my money on various surgeries I did cosplay. I dressed as female characters and learned how to do make-up professionally. It felt good to be able to express myself through costumes and make-up. Cosplay became a therapy for me to process everything that's going on in my life. I enjoyed being dolled up, but whenever I felt like it's already tiring and I don't like the look anymore I can just simply wipe off the make-up and wear down the costume unlike surgeries. On the other hand, I'm just so grateful to be surrounded with loving and accepting people who made me feel seen and heard and loved.
