If you shorten the wires and made a coil that wraps around to case much tighter (I use a 300win case to make a coil for a 308), it will go a lot faster. I’m melting lapua within 6 seconds

Yep other people have posted on this and using a tighter coil it only takes 3 seconds to get the brass glowing.

Mine came in today and it doesn't work. When I plug it in it makes a high pitched noise and when pressing the button the light doesn't come on. It should just plug in and power when holding the button right?

Sounds like you got a defective one. If you got it from Amazon it should be easy to return.
