You can legislate morality - but only to an extent. You can change laws, but you cant change hearts. Only God can do that.

God will use whoever is available and willing to do His will. What He needs to see is a heart that says YES LORD

Jael- a woman of God’s strength and courage she said to Barak “ come I will show you the man whom you seek. And when he went into her tent there lay Sisera, dead with the peg in his temple” Judges 4:22

Regarding the topic "can things hinder our prayers" : Matthew 5: 23/24 states that before your prayers are gonna be acceptable to God, first go and be reconciled with your "brother". If you know that your brother has something against you.. get it sorted or get ready for dissappointment. ..... If in fact we are talking about two "newcreations/christians" then the fruit of the spirit .... (you know the 9) ... will allow for this to happen.

I was wondering when would he get to the questions he literally took almost the whole time talking about morality politics and his point of view instead of the word of God. WOW ! Hope to have David Guzik back soon !

Zipporah stepped up and did what Moses did not have the firmness to do. The strength of God in a woman to save her family

Qam Israel, i have thought the same thoughts you have in a mechanical manner. I don't know how to reply on chat. I wish someone would cover how people don't leave others alone but fire, kill, destruct movement is what I am referring to.

On the topic of "Can we legislate for morality" the answer is obviously Yes. We CAN, and God DID. The law of Moses is in fact just that. But with the intention of NOT making us better people but rather to show us that we are NOT good ... in "that" law God set up a way of making them acceptable to HIM .. tho constantly falling short... by various commands, such as Circumcision, and sacrifices/ offerings. However that was to last only until his ultimate sacrifice and victory. Thereafter and by REBIRTH and revelation we are able to adhere to God's will..... and bear much fruit (fruit of the holy spirit) against which there is no law. . The MUCH bigger question... and Elephant in the room here is "Should we"? ....... 1 Corin 5: 12 "What business is it of mine to judge the world" ? ... this isn't talking about the ultimate judgement .. because WE SHALL judge the world and even angels eventually..... no, this is about the here and now. It's linked to the understanding that if we are new creatures then we are also citizens of a new kingdom.. tho unseen in bricks or borders.. is plain thru actions and is NOT allied to ANY nation or kingdom of this world, "Here there is no Gentile or Jew, circumcised or uncircumcised, barbarian, Scythian, slave or free, but Christ is all, and is in all" ( one might easily interchange words like... German, British, American here) ............. Imagine if you will, just what kingdoms Satan was showing Jesus when he offered him them.... It says that Satan showed him ALL the kingdoms of the world..... All of them mind ! We are in it... but not of it ... :) ... I really am blessed by the way by David Guzik and Co's videos ... thank you for sharing :)
