As a single person doing masters and then getting a job with a salary of 50k , how much he/she can save if we consider he or she will visit once a year?
@chandra-sen
@chandra-sen 10 ай бұрын
When you are single and your salary is €50k then your net salary that comes and sits in your bank account by the end of each month = €2,691 One can have a decent life with €1k to €1,6k per month (depending on the lifestyle and city). Which means one can save about €1k to €1,3k per month. Flight to India can cost somewhere between €600 to €1000 for both to and from.

It means you can save 1.2 lakh to 1.89 lakh in inr If you add cost of India travel which is 70k + other expenses You will lost another 2 lakh And if you travel within Europe that will eat more of your savings

I think one usually travels to India once a year and the savings that I am talking is monthly savings. Also, I have shared my experience and one has to check for oneself if it actually makes sense for them as each one of us would have our own way of living. :)

Hi , i am earning 32 lpa in india and got 75k euro in Baden wurtenberg state . Im married and 4 yrs old kid . Is it a good deal ?
@chandra-sen
@chandra-sen 11 ай бұрын
Thank you for your question. Below I will share my thoughts. As a matter of fact I know that INR 32lks p.a is a great salary in India. One can have very good life with this money in India. Also, €75k is a great salary to have in Germany. The German average salary is about €45k when you compare it with this then it is very clear that it is a great salary. But if you take cost of living into consideration and then compare INR 32lks in India vs. €75k in Germany then I think you are better off with INR 32lks in India than in Germany. As this is the case please make sure to answer yourself what exactly is your motivation behind moving to Germany. If your major motivation to move to Germany is make more money and saving more money then do not come I would say. But your major motivation is to get great work life balance, get International exposure which will put you in a different league, provide good education to you kid (for free), get different cultural exposure which beings growth personally and professionally for you and your family, do not have the frustration about unfairness and corruption in the society etc. etc. then it can be the right step to move to Germany. I hope my answer will provide you some information to take your decision.

It is not in detail but will give you a bit of perspective. One can use this online calculator www.brutto-netto-rechner.info/gehalt/gross_net_calculator_germany.php to find how much taxes one pays when they are individual and family. Thanks a lot for your question and I am sure I will make a video about it. If you want to know why I promote living in Germany or for that matter living abroad, you can watch this video of mine: kzbin.info/www/bejne/bZvNg4tjn9KsitE To answer your question on if I would still choose Germany, it is yes and that is the reason why I am still living in Germany as well. For me, things that matter are the most peaceful life, fairness in society, stress-free living, social security, good nature, and a stress-free visa procedure. This is what Germany is providing me and has provided me. I have not come to Germany to become rich or to save a lot of money. What I have noticed is that the immigrants who come to Germany to make great money are the ones who get disappointed. This is not the country to get rich, this is the country to have a quality life and a well-secured and peaceful life. With regards to salaries, one can have a very decent life even with €30-35k salary. In fact, the German average salary is around €45k. If you are earning €60k+ then maybe you are in the top 20-25% of the German population.

The official German stat states that the average monthly expenses for a family of 3 are 3800. Note that this includes East Germany where the rent is two times cheaper than in Berlin, Munich and other cities. And this was pre-pandemic. Dear people, if you have kids, please do not come to Germany for salaries less than 95k. That is an absolute minimum. Below that, your family will be in the bottom half of the population in the cities where you’re likely to get your job offers. Note also that the German tech is a low cost of labor high profits sector. They do not profit from exceptional people as they have no innovation. You’ve hardly ever heard of a German tech company. Their job market is designed to cover your minimal life expenses. You will save 0 euros. These KZbin grifters are profiting out of bringing cheap labor to Germany.

With the current situation in Germany, the interest rates are quite high, and hence buying a house could be a bit expensive. There is a public pension system in place for every German resident who works and lives in Germany. With the salaries that you are sharing, it is still worth I think. But I do not know what are your salaries in your home country now and what are your expectations from working and living in Germany. As a rule of thumb what I always recommend to International people is that, if one is looking to have a stress-free life, great work-life balance, fairness in society, and have a decent life then they should choose Germany.
