Thank you @leondupreez for this message. Can you please help me understand 2 verses to seal this message in my heart? The verse that says there will be a great falling away and the verse that says if you are lukewarm I will spew you out of my mouth. How do these verses fit with this message? Im confused and I would really appreciate your thoughts on this. Thank you Prophet

Great question. This will depend on the eschatology belief connected to not able to lose your salvation. When it comes to eschatology you have many different views, furturist, preterism, idealism etc.. the reason the spewing out of mouth confuses people is because they don’t know in what time frame to place that scripture. These were letter written to the 7 churches. Some believe it is church ages, hence they believe that verse applies to us today. and I am not fully for that teaching. It is very clear to whom Jesus wrote it and what time. The great falling away is a great argument between theologians also relative to what time it is written for and to whom. I wouldn’t base a teaching like once saved always saved that has over 20 verses confirming it, to be compared to one verse. My personal opinion is to never let one ambiguous verse cloud a more established doctrine.

In reality this topic is still being debated there is no clear answer. Could debate for days on the subject and there are many scriptures that back up both sides of the argument, 2 Peter 2;20 being just one of them, could show you like 80.
