Awesome, was really looking forward to this series to make it's return! I was watching your old chicken video 2 days back, but quickly realized that was before the release of MaizePlus Great video as always :) Worth more recognition

The Alien Paul has made the ultimate realistic mod 😂. Store buy your feed and lose money, or invest a lot of time, and labor with massive capital investments and slightly lose less money. The ultimate story of the farmer these days. Alternative title for your video “ The best way to make money with chickens, is not to do them” lol. Need to find the store supply mod on the discord ASAP 😂😂😂

Another fantastic video from you, thanks. I have increased the eggs output for the chickens by +35% and it turns a fair profit but nothing crazy. Then I use a butcher mod to sell the older chickens as meat. All in all it seems to work out well in the end now.

How did you edit the amount of eggs produced? Would adding this in the animaldataoverride xml work to give 24 eggs per month at 4 months old onward or would it be 24 liters of eggs per month? What value did you set your chickens to produce each month and what was the base value? Thanks for any help.
@DisTurbedSimulations Жыл бұрын
@@Qyron99 I have been playing with this today, and had no joy. So if you get it to work please let me know. Planning to talk to the team later to ask. Easy option - reduce how much they eat ;)

The losses if growing your own crops to use are probably actually higher again than that if you also factored in fuel, maintenance, lime and fertiliser costs for the fields on top. What about subsidising the feed costs and offsetting it with selling excess chickens once they reproduce and mature. From what I can see $25 is the max return per chook chook.
@DisTurbedSimulations Жыл бұрын
Those extra costs are constant if you sell direct or feed to an animal, so not worth considering. My previous testing showed it was better to max out the animal shed with mature chickens that produce eggs instead of leaving room for them to have chicks.

Did you considered the value of selling new chickens? Maybe you did, but you know I miss some english ideas and didn't see it in the power point. In the lther hand, i love this kind of videos mixing Fs And MS office 🥰
@DisTurbedSimulations Жыл бұрын
When I did my original testing of chicken farming I started with that approach, but you make a lot more just having older chickens producing eggs vs breeding. It may have change with the reduction in egg price since I did that testing... added to the list ;)

My vote for the next animal is the beef cow now that M+ has slightly readjusted the mixture. It didn’t at all look profitable before but now??

So chickens with Maize plus can't be fed like sheep or cows where you just need 2 components to get all 4 food types filled? You always have to have those 4 types separately? (I hope it is clear what I said)
@DisTurbedSimulations6 ай бұрын
You could use the Deuka Chicken food which fills slides 1,3 and 4 and then wheat (or base game chicken food which is also wheat) to fill slider 2.

Nice video as usual. A quick question, Is there a sell point for the Maize+ specific products? I'll sometimes end with excess products or left over stuff when I Sell livestock/cease production. I'm currently using development tools for this, but a sell point would be nice.

Waiting for the next video for cows and also for sheeps as we have to buy alfalfa silage from the shop. Curious to know how profitable the sheeps are.

You don't have to buy feed for the sheep, you can use wholecrop silage and normal hay. It will be sometime next week before the next of these as testing takes a while.

My brain is kind of frazzled trying to wrap my brain around maize+, been watching vids the better part of the day. But you’re saying all this extra work the animals are less profitable?
@DisTurbedSimulations Жыл бұрын
In some cases yes. But you have options to change that. You can use cheaper feeding options or reduce the amount of food eaten. M+ is design / intended to allow the user to customize the experience.
@jeffreymelton22002 ай бұрын
One would think that to be realistic like M+ wants to be, the most economic way would be to grow your own chicken food. And anothe rcrazy thing is that in order to profit (for pigs and chickens) even slightly, you have to rely on a mod outside of maize plus (farm supply pack) what the crap is that. i was looking to maybe make an egg empire, but when you dont break even on the feeding vs the eggs, how do you propose one would do that. i have seen all of your 'can you make money' maize plus videos, anbd outside of the cows, it seems that the mod is bad or at the very least flawed, that brings me to question, should i even play with it?
@DisTurbedSimulations2 ай бұрын
I don't care if you play with it, you should also look at the update videos as the feeding was changed. One should also consider M+ allows you to customise the feeding and one could alter things to build one's empire as one saw fit.
