Another nice video, thanks. Short and sweet but somehow still contains some thought provoking stuff. When I enable Precision Farming in my saves I tend to disable ploughing as I thought that avoiding ploughing was one of the objectives of Precision farming but the game hits you with a massive yield drop if you don't plough when it is activated. I did not realise that Direct Seeding into a ploughed field obviated the penalty. Similarly I thought that using a weeder on first growth incurred a yield penalty where See and Spray did not. Clearly I have much to learn. Enjoy your holiday.

You should stagger the water wheel, in order to have 100% of the badwater pass through each; instead of 50% through each as it is right now... Just put 2 levee after each wheel and attach the other wheel on top of the newbuilt levee... In this way, you should increase the power output by 66% for the same channel length without changing its width...

Nice video. So with grazing going in that big field. Will they be self sufficant(other than water)? I did a bit smaller field like that in the SW part of the map and for some reason it locked out the water trigger. So i need to test that again. I aim to just put the cows out to graze with no other food over the summer. Will be a trial and error as to how many cows it will support as dont understand the buffer etc. Guess there probably is a way to calculate a fields capacity for grazing purpases via the xml and buffer etc.
@DisTurbedSimulations4 күн бұрын
Yes, my plan is to graze them for as much of the year as possible. Grazing should use the bases yield of grass of the field (without fertilizing) so that would tell you how many animals can be supported over the year. The need for water will be dictated by the pen and if it has automated watering set of not. I'm probably going to use a number of smaller pens and rotate the cows across the field as the graze an area so it's not total hands off

1:08:45 I think flow rate in a channel has been proven to be unbounded. The only limit is 2.2cms over an edge, eg: if you have 11cms in a channel then a waterfall needs to have at least 5 edges.
