This is by far the best example I’ve ever heard on grip pressure! The numbers are somewhat meaningless because they are individually dependent; but your show and tell really had me picking up my paddle to get a feel for improving my power and soft game.

Great video. Can you do a video that shows fast volley hands using backhand and forehand in the same exchange? Much appreciated.

4,6, and 9 for me as far as results looked, however being able to whip out #3 in singles for a passing shot would be pretty nice :)

Results, yes, but inputs, 6 and 9 were probably too tight

What serve grip pressure? Seems like when I loosen my grip my wrist breaks and my accuracy is off. Any suggestions?
@ZaneNavratilPickleball Жыл бұрын
Grip pressure is the same for anything you're trying to generate power on. It should be loose! You can have a loose grip without a floppy wrist

I have a question. After a game, players go up to the net and greet each other saying "good game" and pad with paddles. I see so many people pad with grip end instead of paddle end. What is that about?
@webow88 Жыл бұрын
Some people are concerned that their paddles could be damaged by clapping them together. Seems unlikely to me, but...

I hope Zane or someone good sees this.. what is your thumb doing when I grip the paddle ? Meaning do I connect my thumb to my middle finger ? Just rest it on paddle ? Connect to ring? Would love some advice
@ZaneNavratilPickleball11 ай бұрын
I think that that is primarily a matter of your own comfort!

Thanks for the response ! I know this isn’t a drop shot video , but I’m wondering why everyone lets my thirds drop and then they bang them back. I’m an athletic 3.75 player , but I’ve noticed no one bangs back the 4.25+players drops . And that’s my goal by end of 2024 to be 4.0+.. so many conflicting theories. “Pros typically hit FLAT drops” or “put TOP spin on most of your drops “ I know without video it’s probably hard to assess anything but maybe just some advice to get my drops on the 4.25 level as opposed to where they are now , thanks !

It is especially important for soft dinking play/always demo tight rigid grip vs light grip to students as they can feel a big difference between the both. I also know that my best drives are when my arm is relaxed like a noodle/sort of Gumby like.

100%! Gumby. Love it!
