Can you name the song from the piano intro?

I could name this tune with only 4 notes of the opening chord; 'One (is the loneliest number)' from the musical HAIR. The stark opening develops into a rousing psycho drama that you can boogaloo too.

I think it's interesting just how recognizable some of these are almost as soon as you start playing them. #1 and #8 were recognizable to me before the timer bar reached the 4 in 4 points. In comparison I needed to hear until 2 points before I got #6.

The "bonus" was a tad obvious, as it was for a to-be-famous song. There were four which I didn't know even after you telling us what they were. My septuagenarian ears and brain only managed 4 points three times. As my gramps used to say, "When we're old we have lots more memories, so it takes longer to sift through them all." 😅

Long before the music-ID apps* were even a thing I was really great at quickly getting the name and artist of songs. It used to become a festive game of my brother, nephew, and niece testing me on it. Sadly after having my brain tumour removed I struggle to recall the names of people places and things (not that I don't remember them, just getting them from in my brain to out 🤪) so while I got most of these I couldn't really remeber the names of the songs or artist until it was revealed. I even got the last track 🤣 * This is an example, the app I am trying to think of here I think begins with 'S' and is now owned by Apple. It has blue in its logo and Siri uses it when you ask what a song is. But right now I just cant get the name to pop out of my mind.

Either I knew them at 4 - Imagine and Great Gig were within the first chord - or I don't know the song at all, so was never going to get them. Or, worst of all, knowing the song but being unable to think of the name. Like, I immediately knew that ABBA one was ABBA, but which song? Same with Coldplay and Radiohead. Which is the most frustrating as I recognised the tune at 4 points - and could totally tell you the artist within a second - but still didn't have a name for the song by the end, so it's zero points. :(

My score is probably in the 30's. Seven or eight of the songs were 4's, two were 2's, and "While My Guitar Gently Weeps" was just barely a 3 (and very close to a 2). I'll claim it's hard to latch onto WMGGW when the bass part is missing. I was pretty sure it was the Beatles, but had trouble figuring out which song. For all the rest of the songs I got zeros. And almost all of those were songs I doubt I've heard. Note that I stopped listening to radio stations sometime around 2001.The only "0" which should have been a "4" for me was "Pyramid Song". I'm somewhat annoyed with myself that I missed that one. As to the bonus song, as I was listening I thought "I'm *sure* I've heard this somewhere", but had absolutely no idea where. 🙂 I'm surprised there weren't any from Elton!
