This seems like a really solid framework that could be made spectacular by mining some system neutral material to expand it (Off the top of my head, Herbalist's Primer from Exalted Funeral and Into the Wyrd and Wyld from Wet Ink Games would compliment it wonderfully)

Absolutely!

I thought the same thing; I have Herbalist's Primer and I think it would bolster the game.

With the amount of fantasy PbtA games out, one could possibly have a living campaign world that uses different systems for different stories (Wise Women for village-limited stories, Dungeon Hero for the heroic stories, Wicked Ones for evil stories, etc.)

With generations of characters sharing the same bloodlines.

@@DaveThaumavore it would be like Pendragon

@@rpgchronicler Pendragon does a good job of that and mounted combat. I think you could easily blend it...oh man, do I have some ideas.

@@occupationallystrong1606 Where would you use Pendragon tho? I mentioned Dungeon hero could be used for Heroic stories and i'd use ironsworn for solo fantasy stories.

I really like this one. So many interesting PbtAs these days.

The setting reminds me a lot of those indie PC game "Strange Horticulture" and "Black Book"

This is the first rpg I've seen use AI generated art. I think we'll start seeing a lot more. (If those portraits are from the book)
@DaveThaumavore2 жыл бұрын
They’re not from the book. I just added them to make the video slightly more visually stimulating. But now I can see how one would make that mistake. I’ll add a disclaimer.

Me, reads beginning of the title: "Wise women" Oh wait.... Wiedźma?? is it about witches?? what is this slavic vibe Me, reading the rest of the title: "eastern europe"... oh okay. so those ARE wiedźmy!! nice nice (In Polish the name for witch is "wiedźma", and the word for wisdom/knowledge is "wiedza". So the Polish name for a witch literary means "the knowing woman" or ... "wise woman"!)

Great review not my style of rpg though. Pd: You will do a review of hunter the reckoning 5th? i think it will be cool with your analysis.

I bet that most TTRPG books will mainly consist of art from Midjourney or similar AI tech from now on.

A witch certainly does not have to be a woman either.

Well it definitely falls under a roleplaying game. RPGs =/= socially acceptable banditry/mercenary work for the shiny loot.
