Say you buy a brand new truck for 63k. At $900/month that's 70 months, that's 304 weeks. If you were to do the run you're on 52 weeks a year you'll have 1,222,000 miles on your truck at the end of your payments. I think a lot of people forget to thing about the fact your truck might not last as long as you have payments. Personally I would bank on my truck lasting 500,000 miles and work my truck payment out that way. If I drive 125,000 miles a year the truck needs to be paid off in 4 years. If the truck is 60k then you need to pay 15k per year which is $1250 per month. A cheap truck payment doesn't work if your truck is dead and you still owe money on it. Sleeping in your own bed is a huge benefit but would you make more money on long hauls? The yard fee is one thing but it must take time out of your day hooking up, dropping off at the dealer and doing paperwork. If you hooked up once and drove 2,000 to 2,500 miles and dropped once would you be able to cover more miles in a day? Also would you have a better chance of finding a back haul if you were covering more distance on your way home?

You are correct. And I prefer longer runs. The purpose of this video is to show you can still make money on loads like this. And mainly for me that week I didn't want to get far away from home due to a leak on my truck. As far as sleeping in my own bed. Longer trips I don't care. Just saying that close to home I would prefer my own bed. And backhauls are slim to none in rv transport for tow away. Atleast for getting you back.

Drive time. As long as you are under dispatch, loaded or empty you're suppose to log. And you're "technically" suppose to log all the time if your truck is over 10,001 lbs.

We have loads all over. NE and west loads usually pay more than southern loads

Personally I have never changed them. I got the truck almost 6 years ago and had 191k on it. It now has 328k. However, I'm wanting to say the guy I bought it from said he replaced them at 110k. But I'm not 100% sure. I use Howes in my big tank every other fill up.

McGriff. They are owned by Indiana Transport so you would have to be leased to them to get it.

Do you have personal insurance on your truck besides the RV Transport insurance? What company are you with on your personal insurance?

Once you start running commercial you drop your personal insurance. It won't cover anything if they find out.
