Hi, i like your video but i think there is a mistake on the google sheet for nuzlocks. The fire type runs on emerald broke the level cap rule. The content creator evolved his torchic before the rock type gym. I know its better for content etc but technically it makes the run impossible and the purpose of that doc is to say if a run is possible or not with hardcore nuzlock rules.

The only mistake is linking the wrong person's run. Both Whacko and SilphSpectre's fire nuzlockes proved it is possible, its just Magcarjoe who failed to pull it off.

I find it very strange you’re using farfetchd in battle even if it’s just swapping out, I tried this run myself and found it too hard precisely because I had no swap and sand attack done me over, I wouldn’t think using a pivot that isn’t ghost is alllowed

In regards to the bind thing: I’d bet they never realised it was a thing. You’re not supposed to have a ghost until progressing through the tower in Lavender town (which “needs” the siph scope) and what few testers they had just did Erika while in Celadon for that. Bind never gets used post Erika afaik.

The technical capacities of the gameboy were highly limited. Fitting a whole rpg on it was a very difficult task. There were not much experience in tasks like that. Of cause decades later it seems like normal to fix smth like the bind thing. But back the it maybe was just not possible in the frame of the limits to fix that bug. And it does no harm, so it was not high priority enough to delay the development

Tangela uses bind on gengar and feels really stupid for using a normal type move on a ghost. Gengar feels bad for it, picks up some vines that scattered around him and goes "oh no. I cannot move. Whatever will i do?"

I respect having one Ghost type in the party. But it isn't forbidden unless you choose to do so, to take dupe Pokémon. It's a monotype run Ghost only. So if you had a squad with 6 Gengars or 1 Gengar 5 Haunters or 1 Gengar 1 Haunter 1 Gastly or 1 Gengar 4 Haunters 1 Gastly etc etc it not cheating, lol. 😆 But it being a Nuzlocke you at least could've caught and extra Ghost type in Lavender Tower. Since that's the 1st Ghost encounter in that area you are able to catch. Again if you didn't block dupe Pokémon. 😆Just wanted to put it out there. But was definitely fun seeing one Gengar slaying through.

Hey cool video as always! Hope you and family are safe. Do you have any plans for redemption on Grass Type Gen 2? Either upping the level cap to see how the rest of the game goes or would starting in Elm’s lab with a different Grass Type make it possible? Or maybe trading to get headbutt early to get exeggutor (if that’d even help against Falkner). I don’t think Gold and Silver ever had an event to get Celebi, so not sure if that is an option either. But would love to see the rest of that run!

The type doesn't technically exist til gen six, but would you consider doing a fairy type monolock of the older gen games only using Pokemon that eventually would gain the typing when it was introduced? Maybe something similar with the dark and steel types as well?

I think the fairy idea would be interesting. The only gen 1 pokemon that gained the steel type though was the magnimite line and it doesn’t learn a second move until level 21 so it would be stuck with just tackle so idk if it would be able to beat brock.

Bingo. Palworld's only getting heat because they're popular. There are a bucketload of Pokemon knockoffs on the App Store that Nintendo doesn't care about. I constanly see ads for one on my YT Shorts page and it legit has ripped models for Ash, Brock and Dawn in the first few seconds of the ad.

Idea: what about bonus episodes where you make the impossible runs possible, like playing a hack that adds in types that didn’t exist (and Pokémon of said type, if there weren’t any that you could use) and adding extra encounters where appropriate (things like the Pokeradar/Pokenav encounters, the Pokewalker could be helpful even if you’re playing GSC or RSE and not HGSS or ORAS)

use obs studios to record your pc its pretty straight forward to setup or you can watch a youtube video on how to set up download an emulator for whatever platform pokemon game(vba/mgba for gb,gbc,gba desmume/melonds for ds games or citra for 3ds games it might be a little hard to find citra but google can help with that) now for the roms of the games i cant tell you that bc its illegal but a simple search on google and they’ll be an easy find or strip them from your actual cartriges. Now for editing you could start off with a free software but they usually have limitations so i’d recommend buying a paid software such as premiere pro theres plenty of more but thats the one i use also for recording commentary idk what mic to recommend but if you dont want to spend money just use your phone and send the audio to your phone

OBS let's you record. There's many diff editing software. I find Sony vegas is good. Hope it helps I am only new as well. But that's helped me start

OBS and an emulator go a long way towards facilitating your first vid. Plan ahead! Try not to get discouraged if your run fails a few times before you get an idea of what you need to complete your challenge. While it may seem easy to just record yourself playing the game, being 'on camera' even if you don't use face cam, can be extremely hard to get used to. Again, don't feel discouraged if you find adapting difficult. Try a few 'dry runs' that'll never see the light of day to get an idea of how you want to present yourself, it'll help.

Am I mistaken or is Miraibo really a 1 to 1 copy of Palworld? Farfetch'd never attacked in battle, so no. Using it would mean that I did so, which I did not, and yes it would otherwise be impossible due to level caps since I fought only required trainers, and when presented with the option I always went with the trainers with the lower EXP yield if I had two paths to go through both with trainers.

The only ghost types known in Gen 1 would be the Gastly line. They’re Ghost & Poison, so they’re weak against Psychic and Ground moves, as well as Lick. The only ghost moves in Gen 1 are Lick & Night Shade. Curse is typelesss and if used by a ghost, the foe loses 1/4 HP after moving, but the ghost loses 1/2 HP when used. BTW, Gastly and Haunter only appear in the Pokémon Tower, and you need the Silph Scope to encounter them properly. So you’d have to get the first 2 badges, get Cut, then head for Celadon and defeat Giovanni for the Silph Scope. Alternatively, you could perform the Mew glitch to get a level 7 Gengar, but you’ll still have to get the first badge, unless you can save glitch past the NPC that prevents you from going east from Pewter until you get the first badge, then you could possibly get all 8 badges that way.
