Watch through to the end for BONUS SPEAKING PRACTICE with me!! 🤩 I’ve included some conversation practice at the end of this lesson so you can practise using these contractions fluently, in a useful, everyday conversation between friends. 👯♀️ (Let me know ⬇️ if you enjoy practising like this and I'll make some more speaking lessons for you to practise with!)

@mmmEnglish_Emma2 жыл бұрын
It's tricky for me too actually (!!!) because I don't use it myself and it's not common to hear it where I'm from (Australia). But it can be used as BE + NOT in the present tense with ANY subject: We *ain't* interested. You *ain't* going to like it. I *ain't* feeling it today.

@@mmmEnglish_Emma You're always helpful to clarify most of the doubts we've had in pronouncing it right. "Ain't" is too much for most of us when it's often abused with multiple negatives, like "It ain't nobody doing nothing", it's quite hard to understand such sentence, we'd thought it means "nobody is doing anything" but it can also mean "nobody isn't doing nothing"... LOL... too confusing listening to Chaka Khan's...
