His voice instantly pulls me away into a reminiscent daydream of how things used to be. Love, loss, and honesty. That's his brilliance. Instant feeling when you hear his music.

Very good song. I'd say "early Morning Rain" is probably the song to hit next from Lightfoot.

Someone said decades ago "once I get all the answers, they change all the questions". You shouldn't be a flat line, thats a dead person, I'm old as dirt and still learn.

First time seeing Gordon was early 70`s . I was 19-20 ish trying to impress young love with a special date night at the Seattle Opera house, good seats till Bill Russell sat down in front of us, he was at least 2 feet taller than my date. Christmas recommendation, 12 year old Haley Rodgers , autistic girl singing Hallelujah with her special needs school choir. A few years old now but very sweet

Gordon is wonderful as always. Nice comentary also, Biz. I have a friend, who once sent me this line when talking about how he wasted his youth on substance abuse, now regrets it, but of course only blames himself. It is called responsibility. Gordon is always right on.

Gordon Lightfoot was amazing. And organic. Unlike so many of his Easy Listening contemporaries, his music wasn’t overproduced at all. He understood, sometimes less is more.

You're right about relationships. Sometimes, that person that you broke up with wasn't a good match for you in the first place. Don't try to get back together. Lick your wounds, and move on.

I married my High School girlfriend 28 years after I last saw her or knew her whereabouts. And we had definitely changed in many ways. The shit wasn’t easy, but enough things hadn’t changed to make it work for the last 17 years. So there’s that…Gordon Lightfoot is one of those atmospheric mf.

So weird! After i watched u yesterday on Jim Croce, i was gonna suggest Gordon Lightfoot! I SWEAR! GREAT song and songwriter! Next by him should be"If you could read my mind"...its hauntingly beautiful. Also " Sundown" and " The wreck of the Edmund Fitzgerald" written about a true shipwreck in the great lakes!
