well for part A, it doesn't matter who solves it, the problem just needs to be solved, so how about we take the case of the problem not being solved first, by anyone at all, right? If A has a probability of solving it 1/2 then the probability of A not solving the problem is 1/2 aka 50 percent as well, B has a probability of solving it by 1/3, so not solving it is 2/3, now understand what we mean here by independently, im guessing that confused you. It means that it doesn;t depend whether A solves the problem or not in corelation to B. Understand it as this, you are sitting at the last bench while giving an exam, and a person who is sitting across the room is someone you can't cheat from, so if he solves the problem or not usse tumpar koi effect nhi aayega, woh tumpar depend krta hai. Back to the question. Ab ya to problem solve hogi ya nhi hogi, nhi hogi ki probabilty : 1/2 * 2/3 (to create combinations, p and c padha hai toh you will know why i multiplied) = 1/3 1 - 1/3 = 2/3 b) Case 1 : A solves it b does not : 1/2 * 2/3 Case 2 : B solves it A does not = 1/2 *1/3 1/2 *2/3 + 1/2 *1/3 = 1/2

@@thoughtsofs7728 Try to make sense out of the english written, try to make out connections to real life scenarios, alright ill give you an example, agar B ne solve kiya toh A solve kr bhi sakta hai nhi bhi kr sakta uska solve krna ya na krna B pe depend nhi krta. second time mein bhi yahi matlab nikaalenge, i recommend you to read a little bit of theory in this scenario and then come to questions, don't watch lectures easy aur chhote topic ko kheech denge, read ncert ya cengage, uske baad solve ncert ke basic sawaal and then cengage, will hardly take an hour

What do you mean?? He used the symmetry of palindrome polynomials which is ideal to deal with even degrees polynomials. If you asked for using quartic equation formula, then I must ask you to search up how long and unproductive that is.

Sir for (t^2-t^3)^1/2 there should not be -ve inside the root but when we are keeping t=(5^1/2 -1)/2 we are getting -ve inside the root which is not possible and in the same way in 2(t-t^3)^1/2 if we put t=( 5^1/2-1) then also we are getting -ve inside the root which is not possible and I think we should check LHS if the root it self is not defined the how can we do SOBS
